The title screen certainly looks more polished than the home version.

The ROM is still being sat on but I wrote up all the differences I noticed based on video footage here. It's nothing too major, more of a revision than anything. The game's difficulty was increased by making Lucia's health decrease by 1 point every 32 frames (probably controllable by a DIP switch) and by making her magic only refill up to 1000 MP between stages. It will only refill all the way if you collect a multiple of 10000 points. This means that if the HP timer is on, you have to credit feed if you want to refill your MP. The scoring system is super lazy, it's just the amount of damage an enemy does. The only changes made to the stages are they got rid of a place in stage 3 where Lucia could get stuck, and they changed the palettes for a few of the maps due to the RGB PPU making the original palettes look ugly.

Ahem! Today I've added a recent interview with a graphic artist who formerly worked for Tiger Electronics in Hong Kong. Said artist wishes to remain anonymous, which is perfectly understandable considering how the game.com is the topic of discussion.

Inaro was a commercial product, it came out for Japanese feature phones: https://k-tai.watch.impress.co.jp/cda/article/news_toppage/14978.html . I agree that the video on their site is just some sort of mockup to demonstrate gameplay.

IPC Inc. was a BPS shell company (stood for Intellectual Property Consultants, Inc.) that was run by Henk and Akemi Rogers.
I scanned the Sonny X'Press prototype cartridge label today, and added it to the scans page. That is all. *burp*

On a truly unrelated note: I was recently on vacation in New Zealand. While there I contacted every arcade I could, just to ask one simple question: “Do you have the game The NewZealand Story?” They answered with a resounding NO. Throwing my hands up in the air in disbelief, I bellowed, “Then what's the point of even having an arcade?!” This world makes no sense.

A Supervision prototype cartridge appeared!! (Cue cricket orchestra.)

Oh. My. God. Which scintillating game could it possibly be? Happy Flappy? No. Devil Paradise?? Of course not, don't be ridiculous.

It's... *sigh* ...Sonny X'Press. Because of course it is. Yep. Sonny, that parasite-ridden scooter jockey, has found a way to capture the dim Supervision spotlight once again. Blech.

You'll have to excuse me for not going ape-solutely bananas over this out of the blue discovery, but after wasting TWENTY YEARS [!] on painstaking Supervision research (with an emphasis on pain), I was hoping for something far better to surface. Can't a Marpol Brother catch a break?!

But, whatever. At the end of the day, a lackluster prototype is better than no prototype at all. And just think: Next time, it could be Wonder Fish!

Anyway, the Sonny X'Press page has been updated, noting several differences between prototype and final version.
