Alan Wake was just pulled from Steam due to music licensing issues. According to Xbox's website, it's still available on XBL, but they may have just not removed it yet.

Wikipedia agrees with you, for what that's worth. Looks like Japan only got the arcade version prior to the PS/XBox ports.

If you don't get any takers, check your local library. That's where I dumped off all the 360 games I didn't want anymore. (ie. everything I bought for $3 when Blockbuster went out of business.)
