I'm suprised there isn't a thread about this here already.

http://www.ratedo.com/articles/z3proto.html

There you can find info about a unreleased NES Zelda game. It seems that much of it was converted to be the Gameboy Zelda. I've heard rumours that it's already been dumped. So does anyone have access to this? Cause I'd love to be one of the first to make cheat codes for it.

They got BMF here too. They should dump this game so BMF can hack it and give it new levels.

That video on the site is one of the most annoying things I have ever spent 3 minutes of my life watching.

Well, I was a believer in this thing when I first heard of it, but after it's last update I believe it to be nothing but a hoax. The guy claims he got the cartridge working but now that he got it working he won't provide any screenshots. Which means he's probably BS'ing.

You all can probably close this topic now.

Well, there were 2 people claiming to have the prototype. A guy who was selling his on ebay, and this guy at the link. The guy on e-bay was pretty suspicious and I didn't have my hopes up that he had the real deal. But I did remain optimistic about the guy with the site. But eh, yeah, it was wasted hope. O well.

Yeah... So, these are the new screenshots for that "Zelda III" game.

I'm pretty sure I didn't fart, but something smells horrible.

Hrm... Two entirely different Zelda III prototype cartridges using different title screens... Dude, above all I don't think Nintendo--in their right mind--would name a game simply "Zelda III".

So, we know the guy had access to an official Nintendo prototype board. We do not know that it is the actual cartridge in the machine. He could have remedied this by connecting it through a Game Genie. We also don't know if he could be using one of those shitty NES-to-PSX emulators to run a hacked ROM.

This guy does NOT want to or doesn't know how to prove legitimacy.

"Zelda III" was the tentative title for LttP; they even advertised the game AS "Zelda III" on a poster that came with the SNES when it first launched, though it did have an astrix indicating it as a a tentative title. So that part isn't out of the question.

Everything else is.

You know, if it were ME that found a prototype like that, the first thing I'd do is take photos of THE CART, THE TITLE SCREEN, and a metric SHITTON of the game itself.

That and I'd send it to one of our crew to dump the fucker, just to piss off fatties.

Yeah but he is already giving us tons of info and two screenshots. (cue the laugh track)

I still remain skeptical as im sure most do at this point.

I was pretty optimistic about this originally. But this guy is just filling his page with drama and self pity. He is mad cause people are skeptical of his find. That could be remedied pretty easily by giving us a bunch of pics. But instead he is asking for people to vote for which pics to post, then he don't even post the one they asked for. Why a pic anyway? He gots a video camera, he could make video.
