I was wondering why my genesis was burning my games and popping them up afterwards.

Sonic the Fighters was a real game that was finished and playable, Sonic X-Treme is a big stack of design documents and a 3D engine. But if you clap your hands and believe in fairies, maybe that will change!

Uh no, Sonic The Fighters is not a real game. Sonic X-Treme was considered for a PC release, by Chris Senn but SEGA did not like the idea of a Sonic game only being able to be released on the PC and not the Saturn.

That really scarred me when Yuji Naka said that he lost the code that had the Hidden Palace zone and seamed blissfully unaware of the fact that it has been avaliable through emulation for years.

Are you just trying to be a smartass? It's a very real game. It's not a good game, but that's beside the point.

"Considered" does not mean "fully playable beta was completed but ultimately passed over for release". There is no game!

ABUSE CALL! We know the ignorant are fun to endlessly poke fun at, but he did say "considered." And exactly as you said, doesn't mean "efforted."

Daniel,

Some advice... It's difficult to estimate how much somebody knows if they make unexplicated claims.

What are you talking about?

Fighters Megamix PROVES that Sonic the Fighters was scrapped and only Bark and Bean were saved because of a Windows 95 crash.

I can't believe you fell for that hoax... Right, Daniel?

Psst... to fight the Dragonlord in Punch Out!!

"Enter the [Game Genie] codes APSTAKGS and ASPSOTKG. Then start the game and go to the password screen. Enter 001 101 999 and make the last digit 1. Then press SELECT, START, B and A. It should work."

Surely this proves that the game is not real and Sonic X-Treme, which never had a playable level, is.

I think Sonic Fighters may have started by a modified Fighting Viper. I mean they changed that a bit, and may have actually considered having Sonic and Tails as a hidden characther. Check the link.

Sonic X-Treme was barely finished, one level was "playable" but it's still an incomplete one, the documents that were made are most likely gone and working on inferior hardware would be pointless, it can't be ported because it's incomplete...

I heard the real reason Sonic X-Treme was killed was a lawsuit from Pepsico regarding their Mountain Dew product and trademark issues. Also, Pepsico's soon-thereafter Mountain Dew game had some playable levels, but not really, and Mountain Dew Tournament Fighters just really sucked.

Also, I heard the Neptune was for sale from my cousin Jimbo's friend Wally, and that his slutty girlfriend Amanda is in my bed.

In conclusion, NEwayz.

Well maybe they can turn it into an interactive graphic demo instead of a game. That is pretty much what I had in mind in the first place.

Why? It wouldn't be profitable and the graphics would not be impressive as they would have been if released before. And demos are released in game shows, if you must play Sonic X-Treme. Buy it at the auction or sell your virginity to the man who buys it.
