If someone had watermarked the ISO this never would've happened. |

I deleted this post, since I don't want any bad blood. I was just quoting some people in the topic.

Meanwhile, your pwecious ASSembler is hitting the roof in a fucking insane seizure, throwing off sparks and threatening to start shit with Chris Senn:
http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9382
An insane man-mental wrote: | Q:WHAT'S GOING ON WITH SONIC XTREME AND WHO DO I BLAME?
A:
April 1st; A transparent and failed effort from kiddyland.
The immature efforts of a handful of children and a game industry has-been
backfire and make laughingstock of themselves.
Saz, Borisz, HXC, Sanik and Chris Senn, and some 16 year old called DRX
thought that they could fool hardened collectors with more years of
experience collecting than they had been alive.
A post made by noobs is made, claiming a "sonic Xtreme release".
Some lame torrent traceable by IP to some of these members is
put up on piratebay.
However this hurts the sonic community more than ASSEMBlergames.com
We don't exclusively collect anything. Comfortable in our experience
and years of bullshit detection, we watched the sonic community
go crazy over a deception by it's OWN MEMBERS.
How ironic, that they still destroy their own efforts. Sabotage their own
dream of getting a game release.
The torrent was checked, binary analyzed, and known to be a fraud within
moments. Throughout the day, half assed attempts to convince me by aim that
"The torrent is real, chris says so" failed. The attempts by children to
use the words of a failed has-been rang hollow.
Now the attention of the sonic community on slashdot, digg, and other sites is
turned once again to assemblergames.com. And all I can reply is:
There is no torrent
It was a Lie
It was by your own kind
This is who to blame
Blame Chris Senn and www.senntient.com for your smashed hopes.
E-mail him at kurisu@senntient.com and tell him what you think of such
unprofessional behavior. Quoting Chris himself: " I was told about the
prank Thursday evening, but went along with it thinking it was an excellent
prank."
A prank on your own faithful. BRAVO.
Angry? I bet. So who do you complain to? Contact his current employer.
E-mail piracy@activision.com and ask them why he has a message board
that is fostering torrents for bootleg games? Why is he providing video of past
cancelled projects in violation of his NDA? Can he be held to any NDA with such
bahavior? Is he indeed employable at all after all this?
Link to this page http://www.sonic-cult.org/newsx/fullnews.php?id=73
as proof.
Sonic Cult is just as responsible, victimizing it's own members.
http://forums.sonic-cult.org/index.php?showtopic=682
But it's gotten dirty and underhanded since then, and has crossed the line into crime.
I have expelled all of the people responsible for the prank from my forums.
Here are their IP addresses to make banning easy elsewhere.
84.0.148.53 Borisz
84.66.133.122 HXC
83.16.151.250 DRX
After being banned here, they have initiated several DDOS
hack attacks against the server, myself, several members including
one who needed their internet phone for emergencies
but found themself CUT OFF from any emergency assistance.
The owner of sonic-cult is directly responsible for these attacks.
Legal action will be swift and powerful.
Happy April Fools, the joke is on yourself. | [/quote] |

Seeing as how his post is dated 4/1, I'm really hoping this is Assembler's own April Fools gag. Otherwise, I never would have thought it possible to have your head shoved so far up your ass without breaking something. |

Please leave me out of this. My "flak meter" has reached full capacity for today (in events unrelated to videogames).
I had nothing to do with the Sonic fiasco. I was taken in along with everyone else.
Jesus, I'm a superstitious man, and I think the game is cursed. I really want nothing more to do with it, or anything related. It's freaking me out.
I also still fail to understand the animosity that ASSEMbler receives. |

Assembler is trying to get a man FIRED for playing along with a harmless april fools (the shitstorm has a lot to do with the kind of semi-evolved lungfish that frequent the Sonic scene and the collector scene. A few assembler goons turned up ripping on Chris Senn, too).
If you can't understand why someone would get hated on for that, I cannot help you. |

I thought he made that post only as a result of problems that came about because Senn had gone along with the joke (which is why I was fooled). And because of that, resulted in problems for his site, whoch cost him money.
Ahh, hell. I don't even know why I'm talking about this. I don't even like the damn series.
Sometimes I wonder why I like games, there's too much high drama involved. |

All Senn did with the joke was slip them some stuff a little early and play along with it. The poostorm sort of happened around him.
Sonic Cult's first pedo owner fingered a teenager and got sent to jail. They're pretty fucking XTREME themselves. |

Eww. Creepy. I don't think I wanted to know that.
Anyway, I'm not arguing for either side. |

I thought it was bad enough when someone on the assembler boards compared nuclear proliferation to dumping roms, but HOLY CHRIST what the hell is WRONG with Assembler?
I'm sorry, but trying a dude to get fired because you don't like him on the internet is pretty much the fattiest fat fat that has ever fatted and is so many layers of pathetic upon goddamn pathetic that I can not even comprehend it. I am serious, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ASSEMBLER? |

When you have as many years of experience collecting protos as Assembler, it apparently rots your brain. |

My understanding of that situation is he owns the server the page is on, and has paying clients that use it, who he claims he has to reimburse as a result of the DDOS attack that may or may not have actually happened.
Before anyone asks WTF I am, I've been lurking here for about 2 years. Hello. |

Assuming a DDOS attack happened, he has no way of proving that it was sanctioned by Sonic Cult or any of its staff. And he has, in fact, provided a fake list of IPs with one of the administrators conveniently placed in the list, which should go over real well in court. |

Lets all relax here too, mmk.
Simple question, and I'm not going to go read any other pages or anything, I want an explanation here: Assembler claims his site was DOSed; Assembler is also pissed off and trying to get some dude fired because of an April Fool's prank about Sonic Xtreme (jesus christ). Am I missing details or something, because I'm not following this. Why would he have been DOSed, because of his ranting about the prank? Like, am I missing a detail or event somewhere? Explain this to me as if I was a three year old.
Thanks. |

It was supposedly some Sonic fans who were pissed at Assembler over something (I'm still not entirely sure what it was )
He's just going after the easy to get to people |

Man, the first several times I read about that I didn't get it. I was like, "'Digital penetration?' You can do that?" It dawned on me a couple minutes later. |
