I know EGM reviewed it... it was one of the issues my cousin left at my house when I was younger. I wish I could remember what other games were reviewed in that issue...

I remember they ripped on it pretty badly. I believe it was the Genesis version.

Sorry if all of that was common knowledge.

The first one mentions a movelist on a NP issue, perhaps the FAQ comes from there, it seems it was typed in a rush.

I have an old issue of GameFan with it previewed. I thought people in the know had found out who had a prototype in the states? Or I could be imagining things.

I only remember the SNES version.

I had a magazine at one time that previewed it as well. If I can find it, I'll post a scan.

I had to dig through a number of old mags, but I finally found the preview I was thinking of! Lobo was indeed in development for both systems.

Here's a scan from EGM #89 (December 1996).

I didn't know it was to be a one on one fighter. Lame!

Yep, that's definitely the game I remember. They had a screenshot at the top of the column and the scores/reviews underneath. I swear they reviewed it.

I don't remember EGM reviewing it, but Gamepro did. That game got so many blue sad faces.

For what it's worth, these many days later, EGM did in fact review it...I have no idea what issue it's in, but I know I've got it somewhere. And similar to GamePro's sad faces, I recall EGM's review being comprised of 3s and possibly even a 2.

I could be totally wrong, but those look like mockups to me. Too plasticy/shiny looking.

Also, the domain name's contacts are all the registrar, so no luck there. Too bad.

I don't see any reason to believe they are fake. They have the same resolution that the snes outputs. Also, they are the same as what you see in this promotional video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkmukMqLb0M

The Lobo footage is at the end.

Well, I didn't say fake, I said mockup. Slight difference at least.

I'd be happy to be wrong!

Do you understand that you are pissing people off left and right by replying to every possible thread with one line posts, not to mention replying to threads that are 3+ years old and expecting them to still be current?

I know damned well what he meant. I'm just saying that the screenshots are likely from a demo that actually ran on the snes. Something like this:

http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/article.php?id=0075

Probably a demo or something. Not necessarily a full blown game. Just something to show off animation and whatnot.

And again I ask, why are you posting in threads that haven't been discussed for many months, or even years. Your inane comments have no bearing on any of the conversations here, which amazes me to no end considering the things that you have uncovered.

Perhaps another hypothesis is that you are an imposter who has some severe hate-on for the guy who actually runs Playstation Museum, and want to discredit him. However, after conversations with other Playstation collectors, you are acting exactly like what they described.

Hello all. I've been lurking for quite some time here at the forums (enough to know what GRATE means, anyway), and wanted to share this little bit of info I found lying around after I recently moved.

These are scans of the GameFan preview JSzczep mentioned a while ago. It doesn't have a whole lot of actual info on the game, but there's a bunch of screenshots of the genesis version in there... looks awfully like a DC-themed Shaq-Fu to me.
