What do you think is the most underrated game?

I think Mega Man 6 is pretty underrated. I might make a shrine of it on my site starting up soon.

Blech. Mega Man 6 was pretty pathetic compared to the previous five installments, especially 2 and 3.

If you're looking for a great underrated game, try Isolated Warrior. One of the best games ever made for the NES, IMHO, and one of my all-time favorites. :D

EDIT: Frank, you're one eeeeeeeevil mofo. =P

Not pathetic, but it DOESN'T EVEN COMPARE to Mega Man 2 or 3. Still, it's much better than 5. That was the lowest point of the NES Mega Man games.

No kidding. But I still think it beat out Mega Man 4 and 5. Mega Man 6 was great, its just that people give it negative ratings because people wre getting bored of the same concept. Think about it, pretend nobody was tired of the Mega Man series THEN tell me it was a bleh game.

Tell me that's some sort of sarcasm that went over my head. You guys are discussing Capcom's big releases in the same breath as "underrated games".

Who has not heard of Ducktales, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Chip And Dale Rescue Rangers, and the sequels to most of them anyway?

AITMK is a good Disney game too.

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures is the most underrated and overlooked piece of interactive art to ever exist. Ever. There is a LOT that game can tell us about where video games need to go if they're to have a future, and it's been all but forgotten.

I also think Monkey Island 2 had the most clever puzzles of any adventure game before or since, but no one seems to realize it. Which I think says a lot.

The best stories, after all, are the ones where you don't notice the writing.

I would if I remembered anything about the game...it's been so long.

I still can't get into the damned Pac-Man 2, but I enjoyed reading about Pac's home life when you were discussing it on IRC. I'll take your word on it.

I don't like that Pac game, myself. The premise and general direction of the game, I like. The actual execution leaves something to be desired.

Yes. I hereby declare anyone who does not love this game a heathen.

Red, get ye to an oldwarez site. Every adventure game fan in the history of the world constantly names MI2 as one of the best ever. I love the series myself.
