this is probably a bad dump rather than some completely separate rom.

That's definitely possible. Some of those SNES protos were being really troublesome for the guys dumping them.

Justice League Task Force:

http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/article.php?id=0860

I would say it is roughly 90% complete.

Cool I always loved this game. It had my favorite super hero Flash in it. The snes version was sooo much better than the genesis one.

Today, I am releasing a prototype of Marvel Super Heros: War of the Gems.

http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/article.php?id=0861

The prototype is largely incomplete.

With sprites looking like that It would seem like testing out the game would be annoying as hell LAUGHING OUT LOUD. I've never seen a game with incomplete sprites like this before. Very interesting.

Are you guys 100% sure it's not just a bad dump of the prototype?

You'd think the main characters would be somewhat visible before making the level maps and collisions.

That's always a possibility, considering how difficult it was to get working dumps of these. =\

Edgeemu ran out of space on their server. Until they fix that, the board will be down (as well, I won't be able to update my site).

Sorry guys, I am still getting this message when I go onto the edgeemu server:

Quote:
/usr: write failed, filesystem is full

I still have one prototype to release, plus another one that d4s gave me. However, as long as the edgeemu server is full, there will be no updates.

I have roughly a metric shit-load of server space and bandwidth if you want me to host it until edgeemu is back up...

Well, I have plenty of webspace elsewhere to host it as well. However, I was given these roms with the understanding that I would make articles to highlight the significance of them. It will happen at some point, though if edgeemu continues being full, I may have to look for a new host...

I put up a mirror of Snes Central on some other webspace I have. However, I wouldn't consider it to be a permanent place for my website.

Anyways, I am releasing the final prototype sent to me by Lost Levels, which is Mr. Tuff. The prototype sent to me is not as complete as the one that was already previously released. However, aside from some minor graphical changes, it is pretty much as complete.

Thanks again for posting and documenting these, Evan.

Did that Rockman 7 sample get you much traffic? That seemed to create as much buzz as any of the roms.

Well, I'll have to see my traffic logs, though I don't think there was anything too different. I didn't have anyone contacting me, at the very least.

Where can I download the Rom that I need to patch Pokemon Crystal Shards at? I've already looked online everywhere I could think of and havn't found it. It won't patch with the english Pokemon Emerald Rom, I need the Pokemon Esmeralda Rom to patch it.

Um, why did you bump a 2 year old topic to ask about Pokémon?

Anyway, think "Esmeralda" might be Emerald in a different language, like Spanish or Italian perhaps.

Psss: it is probably just a spambot.

Yeah, got one of these over at the Gendev forums. Quite annoying when they don't even leave a link that they want you to visit so they can make a few bucks off ads and shit. Some random "person" posted in a thread asking for a DKC ROM, when the thread was about the smallest possible version of Snake that could be coded on a Genesis (and the answer so far is 260 bytes when it comes to being compatible with all Gen/MD systems, even those with TMSS).

Either it's a spambot or it's a retard who thinks they can just post anywhere in a thread about any topic for something completely unrelated. Either way, they deserve to be ignored past this explanation =P

Fair enough. Never really encountered a spambot that's actually coherent, so yeah. =P

(Also, offtopic: fancy seeing you again, LocalH; it's me, the other H ;P )
