The "etc" being Mario's Super Picross for the SNES.
Not sure if these are localized versions, but in case they are, it would mean there's still hope for other previously Japan-only "old school" games hitting the VC.
Who knows, perhaps we'll get to see Sunman released officially, after all. Or NES Earthbound.

This is a really interesting thing.
Too bad I'm STILL STUCK in a country far far away from home, so I'll just have to get on the phone and get someone to do a wiidle bit of business for me on the shop channel.
Can't take the chance of being late for this stuff |

Hell, for that matter, they've got the Japanese Mario 2 (For a limited time only! Buy your Wii now now now before this rare game can no longer be emulated in any form ever!) Notably, this seems to be as part of a month-long celebration of a Japanese festival for the EU and Australian Virtual Consoles, but it doesn't look like the U.S. is in on that. Europe's getting a few U.S.-only releases, too. |

Mario's Super Picross wrote: | NOTE: The game is entirely in Japanese except for a few words (This was this way in the original release, so no, they didn't translate just those few words). However, it is still very easy to understand, so you shouldn't run into trouble. Also note that the game costs 900 Wii Points! |
Oops, they screwed it. |

Hey, looks like they've actually translated the remaining Japanese stuff in Sin & Punishment... or perhaps this was just one of those finished localizations that were left lying around, before the game was finally canned (ie: NES EarthBound).
It costs 200 points more than usual, though. |

It costs $2 more because people will pay $2 more. Make money where you can |

Just downloaded it and the in-game subtitles are still in Japanese... I guess I can live with that, but it´s a bit lame they just half-translated it.
Oh well. |

Today's US VC update consists solely of S&P and SMB2j. |

I'll be picking up SMB2 tonight most likely. Always wanted to play it, but it was never a game I really wanted to play on an emulator, so Wii points it is. |

Gotta love Nintendo. "Here's a game we never bothered to give you in the first place, and just for the honor of us not bothering to translate it, we'll charge you extra!"
Worst part is the Nintendrones will lap it up and act like it's a gift from God. |

I'm a firm believer of 'if I don't buy this now, I won't get more later', even if it is something I've played enough of, like the SMB game. At least it isn't a bad game.
I just want to see everyone shit themselves when Earthbound makes it up there. ... :( |

I'll spend (and did) $18 to show Nintendo that there is a very viable market for the import game. Thankfully they gave me 2 good games in return for my $18, but I would have done it even if it was something shitty like Famicom Wars and Shigesato Itoi's No. 1 Bass Fishing.
Yeah I said it, Famicom Wars sucked. And Itoi's fishing games are OK but then again, they're fishing games. |

D: Regarding the half-translatedness of Sin & Punishment: ... the dialogue and most of the options text, if I remember correctly, was in English in the original game. That was one of the reasons why it was so odd that it was never released here: it's 90% in english to begin with. pretty good game, too. |

It was mystifying, especially considering they DID bring Mischief Makers over, but knowing N, they probably objected to the title. |

So many Jajamaru games...
Jajamaru Daibouken would've been 'kay.
Nope. This is what we get:
I miss my $6. |

Its not that bad. I liked it. Was one of the first games I got with my Famicom and its fairly amusing if you stick with it. I do like the game mechanic where you can stun the enemies by hopping on their heads first. (Or dropping on them.) This is actually necessary if you want to defeat the powerful enemies, the new ones that get placed on the upper right corner of the levels.
Personally I liked it better than Daibouken. |

Has anything from Sunsoft even been released on VC yet? With that said, I'm really hoping to see Ufouria hit VC one day, if only because the US never got it (yet Europe and Australia did). Compared to crap like Jajamaru... well I'm comparing a bulldozer to a toy shovel.
EDIT: Honky kan't type. |

I think Ikki (Famicom) is the only Sunsoft VC game. |
