Heres some japanese site with more "new?" nes pirates.

http://www.geocities.jp/rinkaku89/pachigame/index_pachi.html

I would love to play all of these. The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening Nes port looks promising.

Its Buzz and Waldog! Except Waldog has been replaced with a girl. I wonder how long this has been available?

Huh, I don't know how I missed this topic. As I mentioned in the FF7 topic, I doubt the Zelda pirate is the same alleged one as back in the day since it's from Waixing. Their stuff never really seemed to hit the scene until around 2001, is pretty widespread, and even this stuff seems to be from a new batch.

Is that Chinese site a bunch of Waixing dumps came from a few years ago still around? It seems like I remember seeing it still up just a little while ago.

It's a pity that GoodNES is practically dead and No-Intro doesn't preserve pirate originals. Sad

*misses NEStoy*

GoodNES is far from dead to my knowledge. only, cow is a bit slow with it

and there would be also a fully up-to-date TOSEC NES dat if my HD wouldn't have crashed with all my rom analysis on those Sad

waiting for some data to be recovered before starting back to work on that

The owner of that site has movies on Youtube.

Its that Felix the Cat pirate, only redone as a Matrix game. My favorite part is how the music hasn't been changed, thus you have that picture of Keanu that's supposed to look badass, with some goofy lighthearted tune contrasting it.

hmm. i just found this:
http://2style.in/torahanako/pachifami_MUSICIAN.html
windows xp! in a keyboard! with a keyboard! (the other sort of keyboard!)

it even has a fake bios screen, fake loading screen, fake login screen, fake IE/Outlook/QQ (needless to say it doesn't actually connect to the internet for any of these. but it pretends to!)

This is a very real looking gun with a very stolen Duck Hunt layout. Shocked Definitely one of those Fami-on-chips with hacked extended palette and disabled square 2 and DPCM.

Oh, neat! I didn't even see that. Anyway, people always make a fuss about kids with realistic gun products. But I guess it is a world market and internationalist morals need not apply.

Back on topic, not a pirate, but I'd like to see Super Maruo dumped for more 8-bits pr0n goodness. Embarassed

I remember someone used to make Saturn and PlayStation guns that went so far as to have recoil action. I still want one.

I found what seems to be a large despository of chinese famicom roms.

http://fc.55e.cn/

I'd suggest turning on a translator if you don't read chinese.

I haven't dug around too much but I know in Action, then directory 3, number 121 is a weixing famicom game "Wizard of Oz" - that's how I ended up here. From the looks of it, there's probably a ton more. I thought it was just images but when I clicked on it and it prompted me to save the .zip file somewhere I was confused, but I did and it was a rom.

EDIT - after looking at it more - it seems like the only pirate original there is the Wizard of Oz game (which is like... Dorothy riding a skateboard and throwing knives at jumping zucchinis and angry mushrooms) there are some other's that are the "chinese" version but I can't make out what the hell they are, and it's all mostly just regular nes roms. Some interesting translation names though that's for sure.

Wizard of oz snes wasn't exacttly that much better. Dorthy kicked, the genre was unfitting to the movie that featured very few action sequences.

I thought B&W was based on this game, not the other way around?

It may have been. I guess there isn't any way of knowing for sure.
