What do you get when you combine Hulk Hogan, some other pro wrestlers, game playing champ Michael Elson, and infomercial king-of-the-day, the late Mike Levey? You get the best value in direct response marketing! THIS is the MaxiVision Video Power Challenge, an informercial for the MaxiVision 30-in-1 cleverly disguised as some sort of competition brought to you by the World Game Federation. Imagine - 30 unlicensed NES games on one cartridge for the low, low price of $150!

Actually, I found this months ago, but I just felt the need to share it now. BTW, the MaxiVision 30-in-1 was cut down to 15 before it got released.

Unfortunately it's only the last half or so of the infomercial. I have it on tape but have been unable to digitize it without the sound getting "crippled".

As you can hear here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vICRBEvhMg&feature=related

But we all know that what really matters is that "It's Incredible Dudes!" Shouldn't that alone have been enough to justify purchasing what is clearly a very high-quality product for its time?

According to this article, the infomercial was aired in some markets and the response was great.

That actually doesn't look like it would have been too bad, as unlicensed multi-carts go.

I put together a list of the games missing from the 15-in 1 version.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxivision_15-in-1

Stakk' M isn't on the 30 in 1 list. So it was added to the 15-in 1 version and it only has 14 of the original 30 games, or one of the original 30 games or was renamed altogether.

I seen Stakk'M on that video, so I guess it was renamed. My guess is that it was "Poke Block".

Yep. A proto of Stakk'm was dumped a while back, and the prototype title screen calls it Poke Block.

Poke Block is the original title for Stakk'M

Oh yeah I have just ordered a new video grabber thingy, so I'll give it another try soon.

I'm 99% positive I've seen a pressed, released Famicom cartridge of Poke Block (unlicensed, obviously, but not a prototype or anything). Do you remember, Martin?

And now that a picture is posted, I realize that not only had I seen it before, I in fact owned it!
