I would say "awesome" if I could figure out how to play burned Saturn games. Anyone who says "the swap trick is easy" is a dick. |

Wow! I didn't even think about a Panzer RPG proto. Very cool indeed. Thanks again for your generosity, drx.
Any idea if the discs of the Dec. 30th prototype are compatible with the earlier prototypes? If so, perhaps the Nov. 30th and Dec. 30th protos could work together to create a whole. |

It can be, it's just a matter of knowing when, you kinda have to feel it out, and I haven't found one guide online worth a fucking shit about it. What I did was rig a switch to the saturn's "open close" switch inside. What you have to do is this.
Put in a real saturn game. , the laser will go to the outside rim and read the security track. Once it has read it, it'll move to the inner rim to start reading data. The trick is to give it enough time to read the security track, and swap before it starts reading the inner rim. Ignore the 10 billion assholes that tell you when to do it by the bios. The bios isn't what you should watch. In fact, I suggest muting your tv and ignoring it entirely until the cdr game boots. And if worse somes to worse, emulators..... |

Are you using a model 1 or model 2 Saturn? It's a lot easier if you have the drive access light to go by as a guide. |

That is true. I had the model 2, and it was a bitch. So I built a led access light for my model 2. I should see if there are instructions on the net someplace. |

First, the massive prototype collection from a while back, and now this? You never cease to amaze me.
(Now, I just have to figure out what differences there are between these protos and the final game.) |

Yeah, mine's the second version. Nicer controllers, no access light. I'm not motivated enough to hunt down another Saturn, although this release is really pretty cool. |

Are you motivated enough to download a Saturn emulator?
SSF
Compatibility List
Note: It requires a processor with SSE2. If you don't have that let me be the first to welcome you to 21st century.
If you're looking for a modded Saturn I could sell you one of mine |

They once said that they PS2 could be used to control ballistic missiles, but I think that fleet of modded Saturns could easily be a respectable military force if wielded properly. |

if you're good with a soldering iron, pop your model 2 open. Near the front you'll see a spot or an led light. Slap one in there and you're ready to go! |
