Is there anything to this?

Apparently SMW was being developed on a special NES cart before being ported to SNES when the SNES hardware was finalized. Some of those images do look NES like. I mean, enhanced NES. Especially the title screen.
I think some of us know about Hell raiser for NES which was gonna use a special chip to increase the amount of colors to SNES level. So maybe it could of been in use here. |

I've seen these, I always figured it was just an early SNES version. |

Wow! That's the biggest, steamiest load of crap I have seen in quite some time. If the thread weren't two years old I'd go over there myself and knock some heads around.
"Graphics accelerator chip." Classic! |

He even uploaded some beta music!
Jeez, I bet he's one of those guys who "has a friend that works at Nintendo"... |

I like how everyone believes him those are NES shots.
I'm curious what his beta music actually was. |

My best guess was an mp3 recorded of "Super Mario 4!!!" or whatever that file was.
Some mod-type format music made to sound like SMW on an NES (though it wasn't very good at that) |

Plus it doesn't really stand up to logical reasoning:
1987: SFC development begins.
1988: Super Mario 3 is released
1988-89: SFC formally introduced.
Why would they go back to the Famicom??? |
