Thrill Kill wasn't exactly completely "lost," though - it was just reworked and retitled and eventually surfaces as Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style.

Yeah, a lot of people do. There's several prototype images of it around on the 'net, but the finished product was never released until the "Wu-Tang" version.

Unless it was released in the PAL territories or something...

I live in the UK, and as far as I know it wasn't released here - the Wu-Tang version was, though.

yeah, thrill kill was never released anywhere. but it was leaked like... water.... from a hose. a leaky hose.

and the hose is turned on really high.

so you're like "oh man! that hose is leaking a lot of water! it's almost like there's more water coming out of the leaks than out of the front! which i guess would be accurate since thrill kill was never released (that is, it never left the hose properly)! Also at the front of the hose the outgoing water (game) is filtered through one of those screw on miracle grow things, so that it's coming out as something else (the wu tang clan is like the miracle grow filter)!"

see, so the only pure water is the stuff that was leaked before the official release.

well, I'm guessing MOST of you have played it. but for those of you who HAVEN'T I would reccommend staying as far away from TK and it's unholy product of a gangbang with the rap industry as you can.

I own Wu-Tang (it's part of my 'lesser known games that suck - and are hilarious' collection) and it barely passes for a fighting game.
key point: if you give a character 30 moves and still the best tactic against both A.I. and humans is "block until they do a move that leaves them open then kick them. repeat" then you know something is wrong. seriously, the game didn't have any sort of 'priority' system to the moves. if you blocked, you took no damage, and there were 3 or 4 moves that, if blocked, left you open for a kickin'.

the 'fatalities' (arguably the selling point of the game at the time of it's release) aren't anything spectacular either.

Thrill Kill wasn't officially released anywhere. The game originally started off as a demo called S&M and Virgin only wanted Paradox to create the demo to attract attention. The more attention it received, the more Virgin wanted Paradox to keep developing it until it was becoming a full fledged game. Unfortunately EA ended up buying out VIE and then refused to release it. I think (think) Thrill Kill was pitched to Activision and someone may actually have a Thrill Kill Activision proto. But who really cares since virtually everyone owns a leaked final Thrill Kill.
