Well, that was back then. Before it became just another magazine worried about money and sales.
After Nintendo took over, it turned into just another "professional" magazine.
That's why I also liked Game Fan back in the day. They went absolutely batshit insane with pics on every page.
I updated the first post with more scans. |

I stopped after 97 because there was no more SNES stuff and N64/GBC and onward is pretty much well documented already (I think). |
Thank you , now downloading.
I heard a rumor about some screenshots leak on some magazine about Die Hard for N64 around 1999.
Do you remember if you have seen something similar on your mags ?
I'm not american so I've just recently started read old american vg mags thanks to retromags.
I must admit that EGM was really a great magazine ( above all in the early '90 ), Game Fan too seems great and GamePro in the latter-half '90 was good. |

Don't remember Die Hard for N64, but I guess I could check the Club Nintendo mags from that era. If I have any.
I would love to get rid of all my magazines, but I don't want to throw them away and sending them to the USA would be too expensive. |

Checked the magazines and didn't see anything about Die Hard for N64.
I got two pages of Earthbound 64 with some pics I haven't seen before. |

Updated with one last set. I was just going to do the Earthbound 64 part, but ended up scanning the Space World 99 article. |

That Superman shot is from the Genesis game. There is an unreleased SNES game that was being previewed at the same time, but it looks completely different.
Also that looks like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade to me? There are two different NES games with that title if you didn't know. I haven't played the game enough to recognize the environment, but Indy's sprite is the same. |

The Ubi Soft Last Crusade doesn't look anywhere near like that photo (the first level at least, haven't played further). It looks a lot like the GB version though. |

Wait, what, is that a Flashback 2 I see mentioned there?
I believe that game never happened. Unless I'm mistaken, the only sequel for Flashback to've ever existed was Fade to Black (not counting the canned Legends, or whatever it was called, on the GBA)
Also, that Chrono Trigger scene (assuming you refer to the odd campfire alteration) also appears in one of the Chrono Trigger VHS tapes I have, I think (The "Special Edition Original Video", I think.) |

I've never seen that Streets of Rage 2 screen before with two Axels in stage 1 punching each other. |

Me neither. It also has the prototype fonts for the score.
And the Donkey Kong GB has different icons for Mario and DK. I'm not sure about the ship itself, but it might be less detailed than the final. |

I also got scans of Out of This World 2. It doesn't look like the one that came out for Sega CD though.
I'll post those in a few days after I'm done going through all my EGMs. |

3 unrleased Malibu Games: Prime, Firearm and Strangers.
Unreleased Xenon 2 for the SNES
Unreleased Impossible Mission 2025 SNES
Unreleased Toxic Crusaders for SNES
Taachiyan using a SGB border that isn't on the final game.
Out of This World 2. Flashback in reality.
Ad for an USA version of Metal Jack
A SNES Superman pic. Doesn't look like Death & Return of Superman.
Another Final Fight 3 beta pic of Lucia without her vest
