This is probably the zillionth Biohazard 1.5 thread on the web.
Some people claim that it actually exists, and some people don't.

However, i found out that somebody seems to have the extremely rare build of the game.

Thread at Capcom Unity

Somebody who moderates at Capcom's official site said this...

Quote:
Laura probably has one of the ultra rare demo discs for the RE2 Beta (more commonly known as RE1.5) that was released in japan before the game was retooled.

As for RE1.5 itself. We actually have it in the form of RE2. RE1.5 was the beta version of RE2 and the final game is the product of several interations with RE1.5 being the most well known. Many games go through this process but many times we never hear about the Betas. In RE2's case we know about RE2 Beta because it was so close to release that it almost was the actual game. Will we ever see the RE2 Beta? No, this question has actually gone all the way to the top and its simply not going to happen.
Quote:
She has a copy of the Beta Demo, not a copy of the game.

hmmmm...

Well... yeah, nobody at Capcom is going to release the elusive early beta of Resident Evil 2.

I'm curious, is there anything in particular that makes you say that? Given the number of things that have turned up in recent years, nothing would surprise me any more.

I've just never seen any company giving away free prototypes of their flagship titles, that is all.

That doesn't keep them from getting out, though.

Makers of Stalker: SOC released their build of previous version, which was hugely different from the game released. Of course, things like these happen once in a blue moon.

Also, I like how one mysterious post can fool people. Laura probably doesn't have a shit of 1.5, neither had, and probably neither will.

You should see the new 1.5 thread at assemblergames. He got a few people fooled until he was telling bullshit, like ''oh i have mac os, i can't play psx emulator, so i will post a blurry picture.''

What is it about this prototype that makes everyone involved go completely retarded?

It is because of the last screenshot of the GIF that i might think it's authentic (never seen before) + the screens seem to have been taken from a TV. These aren't blurry screens either; cannot be Youtube. Why would someone watermark screenshots that are completely fake? I imagine selecting the character, zooming in onto your selected character.

ValentineFan is from another forum... That gif is old.... she had as her sig at least a year ago. She does not have or did ever have any copy/beta/alpha/demo of 1.5. Sorry to shatter your dreams.

Nah, it's O.K. Cool Just another cry for attention of many it seems...

Just like that PlayStationMuseum guy...and the fool that fishboil pointed to...

All we can do...is wait. Guess it'll come most unexpected, just like these Biohazard Samples that were anonymously released at The Hidden Palace. What a gems!

Well... the curator did have access to the game for real... From what i know.... he never owned the game but had "time" with the game... that's when he was able to play the game and make that video. I also know he has footage he didn't add into that video.... stuff that most of us would like to see because we've never seen it. It's a shame people were so dumb when trying to get the game from him and the way he also acted, that was the closest we've ever been and he did had access to it.

Was he the guy asking for like $10K for the CD, when one RE community was offering to pool just over $4K for it (which, at the time, was already a ridiculously large sum for a single proto).
And as I recall, the seller said they didn't really care about the game, just the money.

He had an ebay add with every single resident evil, including 1.5 for something like 100,000 beans. Knowing no one was going to spend that much and knowing he had footage no one had seen ever as well as not really owning the game but getting a very rare chance to play it, he played everyone into thinking he did then disappeared. Leaving the mess that was.
