Hi.

i've recently discovered the existence of a (probably) chinese pirated game for the SEGA Genesis that happens to be a conversion of the Neo Geo run'n'gun CYBER LIP. Unfortunately, the dump I have is just like an early one and the game has no ennemies, f'd up backgrounds and stuff.

But if that version exists, i'm wondering if a more polished one exists too. Has anyone ever heard of it? Google doesn't seem to know kack about it and i'm really curious about that conversion.

Could you upload the rom you have somewhere? (or link to where you found it?) I know quite a bit about Chinese pirates but I've never heard of this before. Thanks!

edit: Though I'd say if it's in such an unfinished state it's more likely an early version of a homebrew or something.

thanks! I still have no idea what it is, though.. I guess a homebrew, or (maybe) a very early version of an official port? It definitely doesn't seem like a pirate to me, anyway.

It's crazy. I'd pay money (or cookies) to have a working version of this.

Actually this isn't a Chinese pirate. It comes from Twin Eagles Group, the Peruvian sceners that are responsible for the infamous Sonic 4 Speedy Gonzolas hack on SNES. I'd know cuz I'm the one who got into contact with the group leader Mr. Byte and he gave me a whole pack of old roms they never released, which I posted on the PGC forums, in this topic:

Where did you find the ROM? Shame it's apparently spread without the proper back info. I still never got back into contact with him, he apparently still had more stuff but I never saw him sign onto MSN again.

Billscat-socks, is there any way you could reupload ROMS_CONSOLAS.ZIP somewhere? The link in that message board isn't working for me, though I was able to retrieve the Cyber Lip ROM from the link posted earlier.

Sadly that package of ROMs is on my PC back at home, where I'm currently.. not =p Looks like the Sonic 2 rom still works incase anyone missed it though.
