A new publishing imprint called Boss Fight Books has been created that will be publishing books that focus on individual games.

You can find more info on their Kickstarter. (They've already made nearly 7 times their original goal, so the point of this post isn't to solicit donations.)

The first games they're publishing books about are:

Earthbound
Galaga
ZZT
Super Mario Bros 2
Jagged Alliance 2

Looks like this could be a really interesting endeavor. I figure almost everyone here would be interested in the books and there are probably several potential authors as well. I'm personally donating the $5 required to get an early edition of the first book. I'll report back on the quality and such once it arrives.

I'm one of approximately 1,000 people who saw this and went "aw, that was MY idea!"

I actually have started work on two similar books...my approach is a little different than these authors, though. I want the equivalent of a Roger Ebert DVD commentary for games.
