I came across these recently at a local game shop.

I thought you guys could appreciate what a neat find it was to come across them in the wild in the U.S.! Cool

Were these re-releases for the majesco game gear or something? I've never seen those weird cases before.

Is there anything (like a name of a company) on the back?

TecToy... so they must be of Brazilian origin.

Indeed! They seem to be authentic licensed TecToy games from Brazil. How they made it here, I don't know... but Sonic Chaos interested me the most, so I bought it.

Here's some more images of the back of the box, as well as the cartridge itself. I enlarged the font on the back of the cartridge so that it's hopefully easier to read.

Apparently, TecToy uses the same generic box art for all their Game Gear games.

Hah! I was there recently! I didn't notice the Tec Toy logo, just thought they were repackaged like NGPC games.

I was nice enough to separate all the 7800 games, though.

Cool! I wouldn't mind visiting sometime. TecToy did make some interesting Brazilian exclusives- it would be fun to pick up a few of them.

Where else in town should I hit up for retro games besides McKay's?

Oh, gotcha! That makes sense. Smile I'll have to check out McKay's!

I haven't been to the Nashville one, but there's a local chain called Game Trader. The Murfreesboro store is pretty decent.

If you don't mind driving a bit further, there's a satellite Great Escape in Rivergate as well. There's also a cool hole-in-the-wall type place here in Murfreesboro called Media Rerun. I definitely recommend either of those if you're in the area.

Plus, of course, Play N Trade.

Thanks! Great recommendations! There's also a couple Game Galaxy locations, which are mostly an arcade, but they also sell retro games.

You're welcome- and thank you very much, Hiroshi! Very Happy

Indeed- DreamTR's place. I have heard of Game Galaxy, but I actually didn't know that they sold retro games. Quite interesting. Might be worth stopping by sometime...
