Just finished downloading an episode of Monday Nitro from 97, and who should be doing the curtain jerking?
GLACIER! Everyone's favorite Sub-Zero rip-off!
Which brings me to a question for the group:
What other wrestlers have there been with video-game tie-ins or rip offs? I know of the guy (over in Japan) who wrestled as Guts from Berserk, and I heard of a, umm... What the hell's his name... The Virtua Fighter guy... Jackie Bryant? Summin like that. Anyway, so there you have it. I demand more wrestling video game chara! Or info about it.

I remember Inverse posting on the Sardius board about a wrestler who dressed as Mario, but I think that the story is long gone.

Quote:
<InVerse> Heh. Glacier wasn't just a Sub Zero ripoff, he had a complete storyline.
<InVerse> Including his opponents Mortis & Wrath. Mortis wore a lizard-esque costume, I don't think Wrath had much of a costume though.

Geez, get it RIGHT. He has a COMPLETE STORYLINE!

As for Mario...

Quote:
<InVerse> yeah
<InVerse> That was some indy guy in, probably, Memphis.
<InVerse> He was posted on Wrestlecrap and I think I posted it on Sardius board or in #fefea.
<InVerse> There was a Beetlejuice ripoff wrestler too, for what that's worth.

Actually, just before Kanyon got released from WWE recently he was wrestling as Morits again at house shows. That was the coolest costume, second only to La Parka.

La Parka rules !!
the chairman of wcw as they called him (due to his frequent use of chairs of course)

For those that may not know gangrel was a wrestler idea created by white wolf which of course makes video games based off of their rpg and card games.

i would like to see someone attempt to be duke nukem. If done right he would fit right in the wwe. For japan someone should be e. honda

Yeah, I went to an ICW show up here in Maine about 10 years ago...probably more like 12 or 13 years ago. Anyways, there was this big fat guy dressed like a poor man's Mario. His name? Super Mario of course.

Wow. I'm glad I know better, because he looks a lot like Will Sasso from Mad TV.
