Someone finally figured out the intricacies of this complex, well-programmed game:

http://gamefaqs.com/console/nes/game/14801.html

Here is an excerpt:

This time you have to buy three slingshots and a invincibility potion to make
the key appear, after that go kick some threes, twelve threes to be exact and go
down the stairs.

THAT'S NOT A GAME!

I've owned that shit, and I've proudly traded it away!
(Along with Rockball, the most nazistic game to've ever existed on the NES...)

I remember some article about it in some horrible magazine that sold sachen games... "if you liked The Legend of Zelda, you'll love this"
WTF!?

I think I've still got some of those "Club Nintendo" magazines around...

They had adds + a small (LYING) detailed info about how fun the game supposedly was :-P

First, tehre were normal games, then in the back, those dreadfull Sachen games :-P

I've found Little Red Hood (the short time I played it) to be most...um...comparable... (for lack of a better? worse? word) to Goemon.

I'll scan it when I get home, along with some of the little texts about other "normal" NES titles + freaking translate the text into English 'cause it's so freaking hilarious.

Early 90s, Iirc (90/91)

Everyone that registered their consoles in Norway (might've been in the entire scandinavia) would receive that magazine for free. (or maybe there was a small membership, like 20nkr for a year or something... you also got this Nintendo Rental Card or something like that)

I've got only one whole issue left, but if I look around my boxes of magazines and stuff, I propably have some remains of more of them.

And these were NES carts, right?

I ask because this may give some evidence towards the Sachen NES games being in existence during the primetime of the NES, meaning that they should be included in the release list.

These aren't American magazines, though. We'll never win that argument.

Well, it could help the case, just not win it flatout. Maybe... still want to see them though.

Sachen carts were around here during the early 90s.
Like 90->93

I can remember lots of lots of horrible titles (and some "okay" releases like Super Pang)

Now, if I just could find those dreadfull magazines...
If anyone else from Scandinavia is around, I suggest you start digging your archive for those A5 size magazines that you could get for almost free (yearly membership fee of 20nkr)

They had this dumb kid holding lots of money as a logo like thing and the title of the Magazine (and membership thingy) was called Club Nintendo.
If you had a Nintendo Rental Card, then you had this magazine too!

Anyway, I found some other junk (but not what I was originaly looking for) which I scanned and sent over to Evan (on the snes_central e-mail, hope he actualy uses that one)

And damnit, I remember seeing things just like this for these games in at least one of the crappier PC/gaming type magazines back in the day. I knew I wasn't crazy.
