It was supposedly released in Japan as "Assault Suits Gideon," but I can't confirm that through any reliable sources.
Fun game, too. Prometheus rules. |

I use to have this game. It was kinda gun, but it got insanely hard towards the end of it. It had a fun, yet shallow 2-player game. |

I found the single player part boring as it didn't have the dramatic feeling (thanks to sloppy music) that the other Assault Suit games had...
Quote: | Target Earth is known in Japan as Assault Suits Leynos, which means that it's part of the Assault Suits series that later came out for the Super Famicom, they are known in Japan as Assault Suits Valken (Cybernator in the USA) and "Assault Suits Gideon" (A.K.A. Metal Warriors). There is also Front Mission: Gun Hazard that is basically made by the same team and it plays almost the same as the other ones, only that it's 10 times better. There were also sequels and remakes to those games released for the Saturn and Playstation 2.
That's your history lesson for today or something...

Assalut Suits Valken just got re-released on PS2 as "Assault Suits Valken ZERO"
Assault Suits Valken had a Front Mission like sequal for PS2 (Assault Suits Valken 2)
Assault Suits Leynoss had a kick ass sequal for Sega Saturn.
Assault Suits Gideon has a kick-ass split-screen multiplayer mode (good for a few minutes of mindless fun, imagine a global massive multiplayer online war in that thing... wow...) |

Isn't the name LucasArts slammed all over the intro scene of Metal Warriors? |

Oh, well, you're posting on the sub-forum that's about unreleased games. That's why we're confused. |

You also missed this thread which debunks the whole "Assault Suits Gideon" myth. As happy as I'd be to have an Assault Suits game named after me, it just didn't happen :) |
