Quote: | The Saturn also wasn't very forward looking. The PSX's 3D hardware was far superior to the Saturn's and much easier to pump results out of. In an era that was the dawn of 3D graphics, the PSX had an advantage over the Saturn. |
Then, how come we never saw anything on the PSX that looks almost half as good as Shenmue for the Saturn...
(though, we never realy got to see much of Shenmue for saturn either :-P)
Nah, I'll drop it, we're just arguing over dead stuff anyway, we can propably keep on going 'til the dawn of the centuary on this one.
I wish someone would pick up on Sega's love for 2D games...
I'd love to see something like a Symphony of the Night on one of the newer consoles... I mean, Rockman Transmission was awesomeo on the GC in several ways... just needs some fine tuning.
You can have things in perverted dimensions, you can have effects from another world and you can freaking have it all broadcasted on a freaking 2,5 meter X 2,5 meter screen, thanks to your home cinema system and even better, you can have kick-ass multiplayer with your friends in your sofa or evt. through online play, and my god, you can have much rocking around the screen before there's hardware choking... |

Carnivol, I wan't trying to argue with you or anyone else about the
Saturn. I was just trying to state my opinion and the reasons for it.
True, it's kinda sad that only the Japanese push 2D these days.
PS- I need to edit my posts a little better. |

How nice for you.
So. In the tradition of keeping these forums idiot-free, I am banning this person. You didn't do anything wrong, kid, you're just young and stupid. Seeya. |

Okay, good. I was going to ask him if english was his first language, because I am fucking baffled by Aussies that have piss poor grammar, but It's easier for me to do nothing! |

Not to be a grammar nazi or anything. But that is some pisspoor English he got there to be actually an aussie. I could be proven wrong, though I seriously doubt he is a resident there. For a native speaker to write that badly it has to be either belonging in "special needs" or simply a fucktard who skipped a few grades in school at his age. |

I don't know, man, I've actually known more than a few 15-year-old Aussies, and they've all been this bad. |

A grammar Nazi who splits infinitives? Let's hope not!
Personally, I still think all these kids are drunk, and this resource supports my theory. |

Most of his posts are accurate, and seeing as he posted it on Dec 31st he was obviously drunk at the time, a simple deleting of the post would have sufficed..... unless I missed some kind of in-joke here, and he isn't really banned....
Id actually like closure on this saga, the topic was quite interesting. |
Read his posts. All of them. He's incoherent. A ban isn't harsh, let alone unbelievably so; it's just tough love. It's for his own good. |

The banning had nothing to do with his grammar. I banned him because he's Internet Phenomenon #12: a young kid (in this case 15) who, though he never has anything to contribute, insists on posting in every topic on a message board. IP12 posts tend to be full of words that somehow don't actually mean anything.
As far as it being "harsh," this is just one of many internet forums. He can find another one, I'm sure he has several already. I'm not keeping someone like that around just to be nice. |

If you have nothing to add to threads that have been dormant for 6 months besides one liners that add nothing and then make no sense in most of your posts otherwise, you are worthless. Read a few of this idiot's other posts and you'll see.
I don't have a problem with poor grammar (ok, I do, but that isn't really something worth being banned for, just mocked), but when you add literally nothing to any conversation, you will be pruned. |

Most forums I go to, you get a verbal skinning and then people ignore you.

Do your goddamn research before essentially calling us Nazis next time. Rest assured, many people here will probably be doing the opposite of ignoring you now.
Also, IMO, your use of bold has branded you an asshole.

You can find those 3 shots at a rather unique Metal Gear fan-site named "Snake Soup", I don't remember the URL by head now, but atleast, that site's got the images...
They look real, unfortunatly, I cannot verify if they're real or not myself... |

Pics are in the articles section. I own a Game.com and the pics are believable looking to me, but either way its best that it never came out for it. |

Personaly, I think SOTN and MGS could've been the saviours of the Game.Com
But then again, I suppose it was for the better that the Game.Com dropped dead...
Anyway, I've yet to pick up a Game.Com myself...
I've got a bunch of Resident Evil 2's for it...
Is there any way to hook the game.com up to the TV?
(or has anyone made their own utilities for this?)
I wanna capture some footage of the thing in action when I get myself one...
(It seems like there's a lack of rom dumps and emulators for it, atleast as far as I know...) |
