Okay...
Sat down and browsed through old gaming mags... this time, it was EGMs turn to get "flipped through"
So I dunno if all of these are unreleased or not...
I couldn't find any additional info on them atleast, maybe I'm tired or maybe they've changed names or something, who knows...?
Here's "Don"
Here's "Gamea-Gyaros Extermination Plan"
And here's an additional "bonus" or whatever...
This one isn't much of a treasure, but it should've been lost...
instead they just renamed it to Tekken:
Here's "Rave War"
Now, I've got some scans of a preview of "Kirby's Tee Shot" (before it was reworked/changed into "Kirby's Dream Course, but I don't think there's any major differences besides the name, so I skipped that 4 page article...)
Anyway, are propably some more here that'd be worth scanning and questioning...
Like,
"Sim City Limited"
What happened to this English release?
In Japan they released this game as "Sim City Jr.".
An early English version was -=supposedly=- showed off shortly before the finished English translation of Sim City 2000 was released.
(wether or not an English version was showed off or not, I cannot confirm, all I'm able to find on this one is it being listed as a TBA on some lists, along with a few pictures of it in an article about how it'll be renamed to "Sim City Limited" when it hits the English speaking countries) |

Hm... in appearance, Rave War looks like a developmental version of the first Tekken... except Tekken came out before VF2.
Most curious. I should like to know more about this myself. |

They were probably comparing it to a preview build of VF2 as well. Carnivol, would you mind checking that issue and seeing if that's the case? |

That's all there is about the game...
And it might be a comparing to a preview build.
in the old days, (atleast out from how I see it and what I understand from reading old issues of mags such as EGM) they seemed to've been allowed to check out games in very early developement.
So it might be a preview build comparing...
Who knows.
Anyway, that's all there is about it. |

Although wasn't Special Tee Shot (the original, non-Kirby version) released through Satellaview?
I remember trying it once, but it froze up soon after starting. |

Rave War was indeed the conceptual working name of Tekken. They were probably comparing VF2 to it's arcade version, and not the Saturn version. Or maybe this came out while VF2 was still in the works and that's what they were comparing it to. I dunno, but I know that's Tekken.
I have these issues of EGM somewhere... |

according to this site http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/tekken/index.php
Arcade Release
Summer 1994
PSX Release [JPN]
March 1995
PSX Release [USA]
November 1995
PSX Release [EUR]
November 1995
KLOV seems to back up a 1994 arcade release for it.
Im assuming EGM got to look at both tekken and vf2 in development because vf2 came out in 1995 (so did tekken 2) |

Yeah, the BS has a "Special Tee Shot"
Then Kirby's Special Tee Shot appeared and later for some reason changed name to Dream Course and become the king of cocky protection or whatever it is that causes the game to behave like it's on drugs wether you play it in an emu or on a backup unit :-/ |

That Gamera game came out and is, in fact, full of turtle meat. |
