I was browsing the forum on Video Fenky, when I stumbled on this thread:

http://www.video-fenky.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34&sid=322c556dfb1c6f1f59d9cf664280aaf0

Is this for real? I've never heard about this before.

Never heard about it either... :-/

But there were rumours when the first BS Zelda shots appeared that a "Zelda All Stars" would be released for the Snes...

What's the date of that publication? Cause it looks like a speculation on what Zelda 3 might look like according to the text on the bottom.

Actually, BS is simply what Japanese people say when they mean Satellite TV. (I believe it means Broadcast Satellite.) You buy a BS dish and tuner, and you can watch a few channels for free.

I have that same SFC Zelda II pic from a magazine published in 1989. I believe it was from a demonstration video of the Super Famicom's capabilities, along with other demonstrations like the Dragonfly game, music and scaling/rotation demos. and Mario World demo. Perhaps that's all it ever was -- a 1-screen demo.

You know, that term would apply here in the US, too. (just maybe not in the same way) Very Happy

It means 'Bandai Satellaview', in full.

It seems that at some point in time someone on the Internet started calling it the "Bandai" Satellaview, and most websites now refer to it as this, but there is no trace of any Bandai logo or name in any known documentation or indeed in the BIOS overworld interface itself.

WAS IT YOU????
