Metal gear solid 4 look at the pics on gamespot. Snake has become snake fisher it seems. Either way this game looks like a must own.

Saw video on G4... That game looks like an awesome cutscene! It must be purchased, how could you go wrong.

Okay, it's nice that those scenes are (if they aren't lying) rendered in real time. However, the detail there is cranked up a lot more than the actual gameplay would be.... When all you've got in a particular scene is the ground, a few walls, Slytherrin Snake and a couple of tiny robots chasing him, it's pretty easy to make that look good. Extend the view to include a horizon, several soldiers and weapons, etc.: It's back to the world of low poly, where it's obvious that the PS3 and XBOX 720 can't compete with my desktop PC.

It's like Deja Vu all over again.... remember when everyone was impressed by the movie for Snake Eater?

Yeah I figure it will degrade in quality some but if they get their heads around the ps3 dev stuff enough it wont go down too much. They were pulling good things out of the ps2 even back during metal gear solid 2 production.

As for competiting with the PC the recent games have not distanced themselves from the stuff shown on these new consoles. It will take awhile for that to happen again.

Well it disturbs me to hear that Raiden will be in it though for storyline I guess its to be expected. Here is hoping that they forget to include any naked snake or raiden parts. The PS3 could lead to blindness in that respect.
