It didn't come out. I was one of the dozen or so people actually looking forward to the game. Apparently they're planning on restarting development of the game on the next generation systems. |

I had a nice, long chat with Dave DeVries, who was the lead artist/character designer guy. Basically, Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse has the same kind of business model that Death Jr. and The Red Star have: create an original ip, and spread it out to as many different outlets as you can, without just limiting yourself to being a videogame. So Death Jr. has comics and toys, The Red Star has...comics and toys, and apparently, pretty soon, you'll be able to buy Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse character shirts at Hot Topic. Making another actual GAME hasn't actually started yet, they're still looking for someone that actually has money to pay them to do it. The original game as seen above is cancelled completely, and won't be coming out. |

Somehow I smell a really bad action movie starring Paul Walker or one of those other "Young Hollywood" fucks as Abaddon. |

I remember this game 3do's website stayed up in a semi crapped state even after they went under and all the pics they had for this version of the game was on the site. Of course so was all their crap for army men and others.
Speaking of Red Star I hope that game resurfaces soon. Both Juiced and Red Star were the best of the crop but Juiced is another me too racer. Red Star had the look and story to do good with a proper marketing push. |

I didn't know The Red Star leaked. Is it the Xbox version? I have three builds of this myself, but none of them are anywhere near the final game. |

I actually know the person that worked on the physics engine and well she wouldn't mind giving out what she knows about the game if I really pressed her. 3d0 wasn't the fondest memories for her 1) she worked on the physics for Cubix: Robots for Everyone and 2) she had to do Army Men games when she wanted to make Dating Sims.
The game itself looked pretty cool, I mean Tim Curry voice talent was used, the premise of the game was neat too, from what my friend told me, there was this whole universe of a backstory in the game, and I dig backstory.
So yeah, if you guys really want info on it, I'll tap her and see if not her then some ex-3D0 employees that would be willing to spill the beans on the game. |

Yeah, DeVries said he'd be more than willing to give us whatever we wanted for a story, and could put us in contact with most of the team. It's just a matter of one of us getting off of our asses and grabbing the story while it's fresh. Laziness is kind of a Lost Levels epidemic! |
