Also, weren't both FF7 and FF8 used as tech demoes (I saw pics of the FF8 one once, heard there was an FF7 demo, also).

And, Square Enix said that a FF7 remake is not likely, and if they did, it'd take like 5 years to make (even though FF7 took I think 2 years to make in the first place).

From what I've read online, this was just a demo, but nothing was planned in the future.

A realtime version of the dance scene from FF8 was used at the PS2 unveiling years ago.

Final Fantasy VIII demo for PS2 was just a visual tech demo.
Final Fantasy VII demo for PS3 is just a visual tech demo.
Final Fantasy 64/SGI demo/VII/x/etc was something else.

FFVIII tech demo for PS2 was an interactive thingy displayed, as far as I know, you could change their dancing style by hitting the buttons on the controller + I suppose there probably was a camera thingy to mess with too...

Wish I'd be able to get ahold of a copy of that darned thing somehow though...

ffviii was in a ps2 tech demo, but vii has never been used as one before.

and im pretty sure ffvii took longer than two years to produce.

God I'm so fucking sick of hearing about this being a ZOMG CONFIRMZORED PS3 GAEM ZOMFG by retards.

There was TALK about this being a reality. TALK. That's about it. And it's probably all it's going to be is a tech demo on crippled hardware and TALK, at least until sometime well after FFXIII is out and runs it's course. And from what I understand, it would be the most fucking expensive remake of a video game of all time.

That's ok it because if it gets made that 60 bucks or more the fans will pay will make up for development costs.

On a side note im trying to figure out how activision feels they can charge 60 bucks for GUN on xbox 360 when its just a slightly more tuned port of the ps2 and xbox versiions.

Stop giving me things to spit and throw the word "fuck" at, Sardius. D:

Still, as predictable as that is, it's funny.

Ive noticed that Gamepro is big on the 360.

I am also trying to get a 360. Im not hardcore enough to get it on launch day apparently and now im forced to play the waiting game. (no way im paying an overcharge from getting it on ebay)

Maybe if you wait long enough, there will be something worth playing when you buy it.

PGR 3 looks like it will be receiving my cash first. Its a force of habit for me to start off any new console with a racing game and I dont know why.

Call of Duty 2 for it seems to be decent too.
