Madre de dios. I kinda figured after "Zelda III" that someone would try to fake it soon, but I didn't expect possibly the real thing to pop up. Wonder how this one will play out. |

FRIGGIN' AWESOME. That's quite possibly the best unexpected NES find since California Raisins. |

Damn. This is one of the all time biggest Nes finds ever. I'd say this was second only to California Raisins as the most famous unreleased Nes game. Now we just need to hope that wherever it ends up, it'll get dumped. |

A full 10-years after the last official NES game came out and these things are still surfacing. Good deal! |

Didn't take long for the Digital Press post to turn into a troll-fest. Yeesh.

Yeah, there was some good discussion there about why games should not be shared with anyone who doesn't ingest at least three pounds of butter a day. Damn shame it had to be ruined like that. |

You know where I stand on the subject of ROM sharing. Although my collection of prototypes is limited to a single cartridge, I gladly sent what I had to Opoth to have it dumped and distributed on the Internet. I enjoyed the game very much, and I wanted others to have the opportunity to play it as well.
Ideally, that's the way everyone would treat their prototypes. However, not everyone is willing to share their discoveries. I fail to see how badgering these collectors will make them any more receptive to our point of view.
It would be far better to send an eloquent letter to the owner of the Bio Force Ape prototype, explaining in detail why he should have the game dumped, than to bully everyone who's trying to convince him to leave the cartridge locked in a closet.
If the collectors take the high road, and the NES fans respond with harassment and mudslinging, who do you think the owner of this prototype will trust more? My point exactly.

Ha ha! HA HA HA! Oh, I see what you did! I was, like, trying to have a serious conversation, and you derailed it with a completely unrelated post about something on my web site! Oh, Frank Cifaldi, you are a comedic legend, and your boundless wit is a treasure of immeasurable value. Surely, your keen observations will be recorded in the pages of history, so that future generations may benefit from your brilliance. I can see it now... "Will Rogers, Samuel Clemens, and Benjamin Franklin, and Frank Cifaldi... the greatest humorists of the modern age!" Ah, if only I were so blessed.

I see Captain Wrong has once again gone into his furious "if I ever get an unreleased Nes proto, none of you bastards are ever gonna see it" threat.
You could probably make a drinking game about it everytime a proto find discussion comes up. |

I don't think Clemens is that funny. Are you being facetious? |
