Well I bothered to read the digital press thing. No way he busted a real prototype but it was a great hoax. Seems to have brought out some harsh feelings though.

Eh, I don't see it. There was a little debate and some people taking things a little too seriously, but it wasn't like an all our war or anything. I think by the end, it was all good..

..and the people who are actually pissed off are the people who still think it was real.

And I *totally* don't get what climax together's problem is. Seriously, no idea.

Good lord, this reminds me of Killer 7 (which I completed just yesterday). Or that James Belushi film, Wild Palms. Or even the seminal Lynch classic, Naked Lunch. Or, in actual fact, the wise words of UK legend Mr Biffo. It's all rather confusing.

So the game is fake? Good thing I checked back, since I had emailed the details to a magazine news editor for inclusion in their monthly news. A little rash, after the Zelda III NES fiasco, but it seemed like a speedy month for news (FF2 had also been hacked into FFX not too long ago as well).

Still, I pointed out the farce. Though they actually quite like it.

Had I not pointed out such fakery to him, we would have both no doubt ended up with eggy butter on our faces.

Anyone care to rationally explain what's happening?

I hope this wasn't a part of the newsletter as well, because that piece of news was the product of mistranslation and nobody checking their facts. The most that ever existed or probably will is a demo of the intro. The rest of that page is one of those "what would Game X look like on the Famicom?" things where people make a bunch of fake pictures.

I guess it wouldn't be any more wrong than every other English source that has posted something about the page, though.

You mean that is ALSO fake? Thanks Insert Credit!

Jeez, I'm going to get shouted at now by the boss. I bet he throws not only the book at me, but a huge block of butter.

Actually, I'm feeling rather embarrased now, I think I'm going to avoid searching for the news from now on.

Someone needs to make a giant Butter Monster out of butter. Actually, margarine is less expensive, but I'm sure the Fatties would know the difference.

The fact that anyone still believed that the thing was legit after the butter monster makes me smile. I'd laugh, too, if it wouldn't make me hack up a mold-infested lung.

Can't say I do, but the mere mention of Beebiss has brought joy to my uneventful Halloween.
