As far as I know it wasn't, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had been planned as a release for that Satellaview thingy.

I'm going to guess it's a homebrew demo, as I don't think there's actual gameplay in it (though it has been some time since I tried).

I remember Super Kid Icarus being announced in a upcoming games section. I never seen any pics or anything so I guess it wasn't developed too far in.

Maybe it's a ROM hack, or like KingMike said, a homebrew demo.

The only official Kid Icarus games are the original game for NES/FDS and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters for Game Boy.

I'm certain it's a homebrew. All it does is basically scroll the screen.

No.

I was going to reply with that as well, but then I saw the number of responses to a question that had a quick response like that, was baffled and then went and took a shit.

holy shit, that is literally the worst JPG compression I have ever seen. It's like someone made a JPG compression filter for photoshop, increased its itensity, then saved it with as much compression as possible on top of that.

I never even download jpegs. The compression and artifacts and colour loss is garbage. Fuck jpegs. PNG, BMP, and GIF formats rule.
Note the disrespect I heave at jpegs by capitalizing the other types and leaving jpegs lower case. That is true jpeg hatred.

You know, when you read something like this and you immediately have a sarcastic technical response come to mind, you probably need to not work with computers so much.

Then again, manual labor sucks.

I don't work with computers and I had to restrain myself. Does that make me more of a geek?

On wikipedia it says

"Kid Icarus debuted during the golden era of the NES. A Game Boy sequel, Of Myths and Monsters, was released in 1991. Apart from long-forgotten rumors of a Super NES follow-up that never came to be, no official word of a new game in the series has been announced."

So apprantly at some point there were rumors for the game. Maybe it was in development.

On a side note. Here's a cool look at a pretty cool video about the original.
