In an odd twist, Raphael the ninja turtle is playable in the castlevania 2 proto.

I think that the Bloodlines beta is the only Castlevania beta in circulation, and it isn't very different either. Some of the Castlevania betas look really interesting. Castlevania dungeon has a video of a Castlevania 4 proto, and pictures of a bloodlines beta.

Wait, are you serious or are you just dicking around with this guy? Sarcasm is so hard to pick up across the internets.

If you have to ask you'll never know.

RedEye is of course kidding... Raphael wasn't in Castlevania, it was Donatello. Red needs to learn his turtles.

Dracula can only be defeated by Turtle Power! I guess it was supposed to be some cross promotional thing, some kind of unlockable character. Someone even said it was part of a contest, buy a pizza from PizzaHut and get a code to unlock a turtle. There is very little info about it out on the web, a google search didn't come up with anything...

The blue one with the sword is Donatello? I could swear that was Raphael. Sorry, my bad.

I'm guessing this rom won't be released publicly, which is a shame. How about some youtube videos or something?

BTW, that turtle is leonardo.

Tards. Leonardo is blue with the katana, Donatello is purple with the bo staff, Raphael is red with the sais, michelangelo the party dude is orange with the nunchaku.

Of course, in the original comics (excluding the fact that they weren't in color..) they all wore red, but that's besides the point.

I don't know about failing at childhood, but I certainly fail at Interweb Sarcasm. I should've picked up on that since Raphael totally doesn't have a comparable weapon range for someone to use him as a filler sprite for a Castlevania game. Donatello, maybe, but not Raphael.

Still, you never know what strange things might be found in a proto.

Are you sure that pic isn't a mock up? Cause that sprite is twice the size of simon. Is there room in the vram or whatever to store a sprite that size in every level? It might be more believable if it were the TMNT 1 sprite, cause that is roughly the size of simon.
