Ahhh, dammit this woulda been nice. I'm a pretty big fan of arcadey racers that remind me of Micro Machines.

Mini Racers looks pretty good, and would have done really well on the market I bet.

I can't tell if you're sarcastic or retarded. The N64 basically had nothing but awesome racing games. Beetle Adventure, F-Zero X, Excite Bike 64, Ridge Racer 64, 1080 Snowboarding, Wave Race and a list that goes on and on.

I'm a bit jaded with the genre on the system, so I exaggerated a little. There's no question that there were good N64 racing games. It's just that the bad outnumbered the good, I think.

Jeff and Barry Arcade Racing was another great racer on the N64.

I think Micro machines came out for N64. Play that cause it has a similiar perspecitve. Plus it's little cars in a big environment too so it's similiar in that aspect also.

I seem to remember this being worse than the NES version.

Clammy, (heh..."Clammy"), as far as I am concerned, the NES version has that "feel" that is so unique and rare, that none of the subsequent versions measure up. The only other game I experienced this immersion or whatever it is, was Warlords for Atari VCS.

I'm not sure if nostalgia is clouding my judgment, but yeah, the NES version really does have a good feel to it.

I still haven't found anyone local to do the deed. I would
be willing to bring the cart to wherever within MA by that person's
terms, so no one needs to worry about a kidnapping. I just don't want
to send it off to some stranger who may never return it. Unless I find
someone local, the rom may never find its way off the cart."

so close! Surprised

There's a picture of the supposed dev cart here. seems a bit odd that the guy who has/had it would advertise it on craigslist...

destruction derby 64 - best game in the series, also by looking glass i think

beetle adventure racing - the most varied levels you'll ever see in a racing game
