|
|
So I have this beta/proto of Saturn Quake. I acquired this thing a long time ago, and haven't done anything with it because I'm a lazy bastard.
I tried getting this thing to run in a Saturn emulator, but wasn't able to get past the title screen. I'm guessing (read: hoping) that it was due to me not knowing anything about Saturn emulators, rather than a corrupt disc/bad rip.
Anyway, I've uploaded it to a website that will hopefully stay up for a while. If anyone has a better idea for hosting the damn thing (besides Bittorrent), let me know. |

Well, you got that 120% Limit Over hack running, so I have faith in your endeavor. |

It's a problem with Saturn emulation rather than the disc/image.
The released version doesn't work in SSF either (currently the best Saturn emulator available) - Freezes emulation at the title screen.

Well, that's no fun. I guess I didn't actually say this in my original post, but I don't have a Saturn; if anyone is able to, I'd like to hear whether it works on a real machine. |

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the disc image, it passes CRC and the boot sector is good. I'll try it out later tonight on real hardware. |

Thank you very much for sharing this =)
protip: for games with CD Audio, such as most Saturn games, RAR compresses far better.
I'll create a mirror of it later today.
edit: or I won't... since this copy matches the EU version of the game. |

The name, date and version # inside the header matches the EU ver, furthermore, the filesystem creation and modification is a perfect match too.
I could do a crc compare on the actual disc files but I don't think its really necessary. |

The game seems to sort of work with yabause. You can at least look at the levels if you disable VDP2 BG 0 with the 1 key. |

Does it work on SSF? And when you say GiriGiri, do you mean one of the hacks (my buddy's Barnito hack, for example). |

read the thread plz
by girigiri i mean girigiri-gav, the original leak. your buddy barnito posted half a billion lies on the internet at the very least. Among others are his hack of girigiri which was crc exact to the original. |
