SuperG, welcome to lostlevels.org and thanks for answering my question. I was pretty sure it wasn't an American US released NES game, as I would have probably remembered it. Those pics look pretty cool, I will have to beat the game now. |

I'm happy to help you
Thank Konami for making good game like Getsufuu Maden!
for your information, this game was the same game Level & structure and song effects that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES
I post some other games like at vgmuseum :
NES/Famicom - Cosmo Police Galivan
NES/Famicom - Gambare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu (first goemon game!!)
NES/Famicom - Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3 AKA Kid Niki 3
NES/Famicom - Mouryou Senki Madara (great RPG!!+VRC6 Chip for
better music)
and some other...
and you and your staff for release some unreleased nes games like
Secret Ties... my favorite!

I'm as glad as you are that Frank and the guys here have found all these great protos. It's been a great ride.
Since you have had success at finding endings to several Famicom games, I'm wondering if you have played a game called Tokoro-San no Mamorumo Semerumo. It is nowhere near as good as any of the games you mention above and actually reminds me of the NES game Superman. A guy named Odino wrote a FAQ for it and was asking me about the ending. He finished the game but got a quick ending and thought that there might be a better ending. I played through it and went through each and every area (18 in all), beating the boss in every single area, and got the same exact crappy ending he got.
This is probably the only ending there is, but if you have happened to play the game and know if there is a secret item or method to getting a "good" ending, I'd love to know it.
The ending consists of your character at a table wth this little red dwarf guy. Odino translated the quick text at the end: "However..." then the dwarf turns into a monster and it says something like "Too Late..."
The game did come out in 1987, so that is probably all there is, but it looks like a typical "Bad" ending to me. I'd ask Rey at VGM to check it out, but he's got about a hundred things on his plate. |

It seems to share the same game engine, but that's about it. |

try both games and compare. It's my opinion
for me it's the same about for exemple:
Kid Kool (NES)
Psycho Fox (Sega Master system)
Magical Hat no Buttobi Turbo! Daibouken (Megadrive/Genesis)
and I tried Tokoro San no Mamoru mo Semeru mo, but I can't pass the Houya area, when I kill the red guy (that throw needles) I can't enter the door... |

That's weird...I must have done something to unlock that door without knowing it.
You can add Decapattack (Genesis) to your list above. I remember that game being just like Kid Kool and Psycho Fox. |

Dacap Attack!! yes that's true (I played only one time 10 years ago)
there many similarity bettween:
Magical Hat no Buttobi Turbo! Daibouken (1990) and
Dacap Attack (1991)
I think that Sega was make new with old thing,
this is the list are the same:
- The intro
- Last Boss
- The big map
Sega was changed the music & graphic for occidental countries..
because Magical Hat is too much Japaneese |

yeah decap attack and whatever that magic hat came is called are the same game. Rather randomly i have the jap version instead of decap attack as i got it on a pirate cart with wonderboy 3 (the shitty arcade style wonderboy 3... not the good sms wonderboy 3) |

it's more that Magical Hat was based on some obscure anime/manga license that Sega didn't want to obtain the international rights to, because no one outside of Japan has heard of it. |
