That demo might be the only part of the game that was ever made. I think there's also a demo for the DS and even the GameCube, but those were made just to sell the game to the publishers.
There was an article on IGN about the Shantae projects some months ago, if I'm not mistaken.
EDIT: Just watched the other videos and I must say I would have loved to get it, had it been released. |

yeah, looks really nice. matt bozon at wayforward told me that they basically make a shantae demo on every new platform they're going to work on, just to test stuff out. It's not always something they're going to pitch, but more like a way to get used to the console/hardware. |

I read an interview with one of the guys from WayForward on 1up a bit back, and Shantae Advance is completed, but they can't find a publisher for it, due to the attempted suffocation of the GBA by Nintendo. |

A Wii virtual console release... now that would be sweet! |

Or they could just take a few extra weeks and add some cheap touch features and some menu on the bottom screen and port it to DS like most games. |

Jake Kaufman (aka) Virt is the music composer for Shantae (GBC)!!
I wonder know if Virt is the person in charge for the music in Shantea 2?
The great Virt will make the music for contra 4 in Nintendo DS!!
