I recently came across this:

The iso is arund 20 MB large, it appears the jade gully is playable(you can only run and jump)! I never heard of this before, could someone tell me if it's something rare?

Looks like someone jumped the gun. Oh well. Release with proper credits and some nice (and not so nice) fan boxarts will be hitting soon. It seems U-G has removed this now?

Edit: Proper release:

Copy and paste, for some reason phpBB hates parenthesis in URL's.

Well, it great to finally have it after all the crap. So what the story behind this one getting released? And whatever happened to that other, much better looking one that hxc posted screenshots of?

As far as I'm aware, that's a build owned by someone who actually worked on the game. I wouldn't expect it to leak out onto the internet.

Yeah, he asked to spread it around to as many torrent sites as possible.

Release was funded by 96 members from Assembler Games. There isnt really much to say beyond that besides enjoy Smile

Wow, this came out of left field. It's always great to see efforts like this come together. Especially with an evidently big effort (96 people, wow) from those not normally associated with established release-type groups.

Well, it would be on Sonic-CulT or S2beta, but since they won't be back for a while i'll just re-upload the images.

Notes: I did not take these screenshots, and neither did the collector that brought the X-Treme disc a while back. That is all I am allowed to say. I am NOT playing games here.

EDIT: Dammit, wrong name.

Thanks.

When did that sale happen or was DRX referencing the sale of the "718" build? I was only aware of the one (the one that was just released) that Frank brokered the deal for.

I'm pretty sure DRX is talking about the sale of the now released 718 build.

This has to be the worst time for S2Beta boards and Sonic cult to be down. I want to see the fanboyish reactions to the beta.

Sonic Cult's not down, just S2B.

By the way, somebody in there has just found the MetalSonic level's geometry within the disc's data. A good example of why prototypes are much more interesting when the general public can look into them.
