I've had one of these for a while, but all of a sudden it refused to boot any games, does anyone know if this is common dead battery behavior or if it is permanent?

If it is indeed a dead battery, I believe the CopyNES has a function to rewrite the code, so you're not completely SOL.

Mine started doing this too. Kev Horton looked at it, was able to dump the Bios and the SRAM off of it...said it worked fine. I dunno. I just couldn't get mine to work any more. I didn't ever quite figure out mhy mine wouldn't work. I must say, though, I haven't tested it since he gave it back. Maybe he just had the magic touch.

Well, I kinda remember the board to GAR being a little thinner than most NES games... I woder if I tested mine now in my NES with the rebent contacts I would get it working fine.

You may be right, it stopped working when I took it out after having it for like 6 months inside my NES and putting it back in, I'll re-bend the contacts and try again.
