As spammy as this is, I had NEVER heard of such a thing. Who knew?

Also, if the item was in mint condition then yes, it would be worth $300, maybe. But it looks as if a cat went through it first. :P

Me either. What a sweet collectors item! But yeah, agreed. 300 is too much.

I know I've seen this before somewhere on the net. While searching for my original link I found this http://www.pong-story.com/mypongs.htm which describes the console as:
