http://rpgd.emulationworld.com/ballz/ducktales ...

rpgd.emulationworld.com seems to have died somewhat recently (I swear I was there only a few months ago) and with it Ballz's site.

Does anybody happen to have a backup of that (or even contact with the man himself) or am I going to have to try to scrape archive.org? :(

I'm trying to get some new project (shh) going and that combined with some other stuff would be really really useful.

Edit: Oh wonderful, archive.org is spitting out its usual NOT IN ARCHIVE crap. Ugh, I seriously hope somebody has a backup because god damn it

I have a mostly-complete backup of the DuckTales page, minus a few images. It just needs to be stripped of any mangled archive.org URLs and uploaded somewhere. Crisis averted.

Hi.

I have the whole thing backed up and can throw it up somewhere if anyone still wants to see my shitty 10-year-old web site.

As I near 30, Alzheimer's appears to be setting in.

As RPGd's status flaked out more and more, I moved my site (complete with Duck Tales page) over to some hosting satsu gave me aeons ago. It's all still there.

So uhh... there you go. Only took me two months to let you guys know. -_-

Awesome! Thanks, Ballz! Very Happy

Xkeeper and I are (kinda) working on a new wiki-fied version of the old Cutting Room Floor, and I plan on revamping the DuckTales page with some new stuff I discovered, including this crazy thing:

This was stored with the graphics and tilemaps for the ending scenes (the pictures of Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Scrooge). There isn't any code left that references these tiles, not even a proper palette, so their purpose is a complete mystery. Weird, huh?

Wait till you hit 30 my boy. Where's my Neice/Nephew already?

And we should do something together for shits and giggles. Pre-Midlife Crisis or whatever.

Our cat is a big enough handful, thanks. You can consider her your niece if you'd like. :P

It went missing again, the link leads to the generic Dreamhost domain page.

Because I like bumping this thread, holy shit I only found out tonight that you could beat the game and have this happen.

I almost feel like updating my DuckTales proto page with info on it. Because it'd be pretty amusing to do a site update for the first time in almost 10 years.

I remember that video. It's a shame that whoever recorded it really had the audio up too high (and some filtering)...

Seems like a crazy amount of effort for something that's near impossible to manage. Makes me wonder if there was another way.

What's with the Select button making you lose money after getting hit, anyway? Some debug leftover?

Send it my way if you do. I'm serious about updating the site with it.

One of these days I'll try to get around to blowing up all the images on your website (or at least trying half-assedly to inject something to fix it) because Modern Browsers (TM) use some shitty resampling that makes pixel art look like shite.

It is probably not a good idea to let the browser upscale things anyways. Looks like they use some sort bicubic interpolator which makes things blurry.
