I've amassed a fairly large archive of source code for video game consoles and I thought that I would show you guys my catalog. When I stop finding stuff so frequently, I will release all this stuff. The sources are just too many to list. I've found some here on this very site, off of many websites, developers I've talked to and other anonymous contributors upon request.

I'm also looking for more and what I'm not looking for is PC source code. Nothing too new and any system that is already in my catalog and some others that are from the same era. I'm also not looking for homebrew or fragments of code. Only commercial type source code is what I'm looking for. I'm also accepting reverse engineered code as well and it has to be for full games. Yeah and it has to be for video games.

You can look at the catalog HERE

For anyone that wants to contribute. You can post here in the thread or send me a private message and we'll arrange for a way to transfer files. And if you want to be anonymous that's fine too because some wanted it that way.

To the moderators: I hope this post doesn't break any rules. If it does, let me know. Thanks.

Have you managed to compile all of those?

Not to be rude or mean. But I clearly said that once I stop getting source code frequently, I will release and I promise that I will.

EDIT: I don't know why you changed your post for. LAUGHING OUT LOUD

But anyways, I have been able to compile some of it. The processing takes time to figure out how to get some things to work. Some of it requires additional effort since an external device was used to process the data.

I know, that's why I edited the post. Sorry if it sounded rude. =P

EDIT: I know there were some difficulties in getting the Mr. Nutz 2 source to work. It would be interesting to know if anybody has been able to compile it successfully.

However, everything has been verified so far by myself and a couple other people that I asked to inspect. Some of it, I'm not as interested in trying to get to work. Other people may be interested in doing it. But hey, that's what the package is for. People can have fun with it for sure.

The source code you got ahold of (Barry Leitch's code, etc) is really cool and I'd love to try assembling them (in some life where I had infinite free time.)

There's also some Game Gear source available for Barbie and Columns: http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12460

Oh yeah, I've been having a lot of fun with the Barry Leitch code. I've been messing around with the Wheel of Fortune raw PCM samples. I got that stuff to work fairly well.

Thanks a lot for the link to the SMS stuff. I'm going to check that out now.

You should take a look at Hidden Palace. I saw you have some of the source code I released, but not all maybe.

The Sonic Retro SVN has some disassemblies of Sonic games.

From the unknown Nintendo catalog:

Quote:
dolphin.rar

AGB Sample Game. Written in C. Also has a header include.

I do not know what a AGB is.

Odd that it's called dolphin.rar (which suggests Gamecube) but AGB is N's model designation for the GBA, similar to CGB for the GBC and DMG for the original GB.

It's probably that demo where you play as a dolphin. =P

I just looked through Hidden Palace and unfortunately, I didn't find anything more. However, there is mention of source code but it wasn't released here. In a September 24 2007 update you mention compiling this ship demo Ship Demo

Mostly ROMs are mentioned being released and not the source code to anything. At least I didn't find anything more. There is a lot of stuff to search through at Hidden Palace. LAUGHING OUT LOUD

Thanks for the stuff I found before and the stuff at Sonic Retro SVN. I'm looking through that stuff now.

Ok, It's been confirmed that the unknown Nintendo stuff is GBA from some other people as well. I'm going to move them over to a new catalog for GBA. I found a literal metric ton of Atari Jaguar stuff that I'm in the middle of processing right now along with the Sonic Retro SVN stuff.

Ok, I just decided to release most of the stuff from my website. I spent over 100MB doing it. However, I did remove all the PDF files because all the ones I have weigh in at about 200MB. I don't have the resources to host those.

I will be adding more later on. This is just the bulk of it for now.

VGSCR

Have fun and enjoy! If anyone spots any typos or mistakes, let me know. This was a VERY tedious job that took me many hours.

If by chance later on you forget the link, you can access it from my main site.

Hey everyone. I just updated the source code repository again and some other updates I'll mention also.

NES

VT02/03 OneBus Clone Unit
Magician

Beauty and the Beast (PAL)
Nijuu 01b
Overlord
Robocop 3
Technocop

Bomb Sweeper
D-Pad Hero 2

Excitebike

NEC PCE (TG-16):

A package with a lot of stuff in it. It's a really big mess. I tried to clean it up and then realized that someone else could do it instead of hoarding it for a real long time. So, there it is!!

GameBoy/Color:

Bram Stoker's Dracula
Crimson (Unreleased)
Hard Truck (Unreleased)
Jet Force Gemini (Cancelled)
Katharsis (Unreleased)
Rhino Rumble
Warlocked

Sega Master System:

Bram Stoker's Dracula
California Games 2
The Flash

a proto cart had surfaced at some point last year, but I think it is still undumped

any hope the code can get compiled in any way to produce something that can be run in an emu? it could turn out to be newer than the existing proto!!

I'm starting to get a backlog of stuff that I need to post, so I'm going to post a little bit at a time for awhile.

What's new is that I cleaned up and organized the NES section and added some new stuff.

NES:

Color Dreams BC Lockout Stunner Circuit code and schematic
SH657X Clone Unit

HOMEBREW:

Lan Master
Lawn Mower
Solar Wars

MISC:

Color Dreams NES Programming Manual
Electronix Corp NES Schematic
PDS 6502 Assembler Manual

I made a misc section for stuff that isn't really code that I felt should be released. The PDS 6502 assembler manual is there to help those wanting to convert some of the packages that are PDS, there are quite a few of them.

I'm going to hold off on releasing the Color Dreams graphic editor NinDraw for now because I don't have the final version yet.

Stay tuned because I have more stuff on the way.

You can download at my site from the left menu "source code". http://gilgalad.arc-nova.org/

Might as well add Dreamworld Pogie while you're updating NES.

What version is the final version? I have v1.10, didn't realize that multiple versions had been leaked.

Also, I have a hard copy of that Electronix Corp NES Schematic, if you want a scan at a higher resolution.

Unfortunately, what I found was a archive with 8 16KB binary files that are not the source code. All you need do is join them together in sequential order and then prepend a iNES header for mapper 71.

What's interesting is that the timestamp says 10/19/1993. So, I suspect that the real source code has been removed. Unless someone knows where the source code is and can give me a copy since I couldn't find it.

I also ripped the NSF to the game. Here it is Dreamworld Pogie NSF
