Ah no, you obviously put tons more effort into this than my Cybernator review (of course, I suck at Cybernator).

Totally wasn't expecting Magic Kingdom to be earlier than the one we dumped over a decade ago (oh, god we're old).

What is it about that game that inspires that kind of page layout? Mine was almost exactly the same!

Dunno when it was actually dumped. But he wrote about it over eight years ago. May 20, 2003 to be exact.
Somewhere in his "Catherine Lynch" rant. :P
But there was no ROM link in the article, I don't think it was actually released until sometime later.

http://web.archive.org/web/20050218181243/http://www.theredeye.net/amk/

This story reads like an edgier, better written F.X. Nine adaptation for adults. Painting Mickey Mouse as a hostile, violent, sociopathic playboy who lets loose the Cowboy Kid to play detective, or rather, to play in his deadly game of cat and mouse, can only be described as some sort of mad genius. I only wish I could have viewed the pictures.

I had never thought about wrapping a narrative around a prototype article. Sure makes the oftentimes mundane process of documentation seem more exciting. And here I thought I was the only one who had a strange passion for this game. A strange, stupid passion.

The articles have some good info, but really could use some proof-reading.

we definitely had it dumped well before I published anything, maybe a decade isn't quite right but 2003 seems way later.

I have that whole article, I guess I can upload it somewhere.

Oh man, that would be swell. It made me really sad to see all the broken image links in that archived version.

I should actually just set up a separate subdomain on rustedlogic and upload the entire site (or what's left of it), along with whatever else I can find from that era. Call it the FeFeA Museum or something.

Three tips to instantly get better at Cybernator:

1: Start using the shield. It doesn't matter what direction you're facing or what direction you're being attacked from, it'll block nearly ANYTHING.
2: Go through the first level without shooting *anything* except the main body of the boss. If you only destroy the two halves of the core, your score should be 2800 at the end and you'll start stage 2 with a new stupidly powerful Napalm weapon.
3: Learn to strafe. It's immensely useful, especially in the zero-gravity segments. Hold one of the shoulder buttons to do so. I forget which, offhand.
