Any chance we'll see some coverage of this fantastic little gem for the Sega Game Gear?

That was your cart, wasn't it? Did you ever get the credits on the game? If I can find someone who worked on it, I'd be happy to write something up. |

I'm pretty sure I beat it (huh huh) but I don't remember any credits off-hand. I'll go through it again when I have a chance and see what I can turn up.
I should also make an effort to contact Clint Dyer, as I believe he was the man who gave Sean Kelly the cartridges in the first place.

What. The. Fuck?!
Could someone explain to me why this GG image has Streets of Rage graphics and data at the end? I opened it with a rom graphic viewer, and around offset h26C07, I can read "Axel" and "Blaze"; and at h34E8F,
"NAME: AXEL STONEBLAZE FIELDIN
GSEX:MALEFEMALEAGE:221 HI
STRY:EX-COPABILITY:JUDO:MARTIALARTS"
all in Game Gear format graphics. And doing a quick scan shows the script for SOR1 starting at h3616C. There are credits hidden in there but they're for SOR1.
Edit:
I thought Frogger had the full version of SOR1, but removing all data that pertained to Frogger [up until the end graphics] broke the game. Maybe it's a misdump by Buddha, or maybe the cart was like that when whoever got it, got it.
Strange. |

Oh, it gets stranger than that. According to this site:
http://www.japan-101.com/anime/sonic_crackers.htm
The prototype version of Sonic Crackers actually has portions of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game lodged in the code somewhere. Curiouser and curiouser...
Thanks for the information, Kitsune. I had absolutely no idea this code was in the cartridge.

Nothing special, really. The data is just leftovers from whatever game was previously burned to the cart. It's been confirmed that the Sonic 2 prototype contains old data from a multitude of previous builds, along with some graphics and palettes from Chiki Chiki Boys. |
