I dunno, maybe. I considered offering more for maybe two of them or etc, but figured he probably wanted to part with them all together.

Collecting is nice, but for that price I want to be sure I could turn around and sell them for what I paid or more, and I'm not convinced with Dr Mario, even if it is first party with an icon in it.

And then I could own all the Dr Mario prototypes evil laugh har har har stuff balls!.

I'd be willing to chip in more to help but I don't think I can quite help on the scale he wants... I'd dump in up to a maximum of $500, mostly because I really want to see those damn things dumped and up on TCRF.

Actually, I recently bought those three Virus/Dr. Mario protos. I haven't received the carts yet, but the seller sent me dumps he made. He said his CopyNES is on its last legs, and one of the roms he sent was definitely bad, so I'm skeptical about the others. I won't post his dumps, but once I have my hands on the carts, I'll redump them and release them here.

The two Virus protos are pretty early, and totally lack music (much to my disappointment). The Dr. Mario proto is near final, but still uses the Mario design seen in the PC10 version of Virus.

I love you so much. Let me know if there's anything you want me to help out with.

(I kind of wonder how well an attempt to fundraise protos through something like TCRF would work...)

Holy hell, I can't wait to crack these open. Three new Dr. Mario prototypes! It's like every holiday where gifts are commonly exchanged rolled into one!

This may not sound like much coming from a goofball like me, but there's no one I respect more in the NES community than you, Skrybe. Keep doing the good Lord's work.

Patience. I have the carts, and have safely dumped them. When I have some down time, I'm going to upload the tech info to bootgod's database, then I'll post the roms.
