This looks like it has the potential to be a nice publication. The list of contributors includes some of the big names from 90s video game magazines. I think the name is a bit unoriginal, considering there is already a video game magazine called "Retro Gaming", and some of the kickstarter rewards are kind of dubious (i.e. you can already sign up to Game Gavel and sell for no fees). I am still hoping they explain more what the format and content of the magazine will be before I decide to pledge.

What, no Cifaldi? This magazine will be sorely lacking in bootleg 8-bit Taiwanese porn coverage.

To be honest, I was also looking forward to seeing him in there.

I'd be all for a Lost Levels Magazine Kickstarter. Razz

Actually Mike did approach me way before the campaign launched, I've just got too much on my plate to help. Plus I'm kind of expensive, you don't want me when you're just starting up.

I'm cheaper than Frank, and know a fraction of what he knows. Fair tradeoff I think.

I didn't mean to sound like a tool when I said that! It's more that my job keeps me really busy and I hate writing, so I only take on more if I REALLY LOVE IT or I'm paid a lot.

A good prototoype section would really make the magazine more enjoyable I think. Would be a cool regular feature I think. Especially since the Lost Levels facebook page kinda fizzled out.
