Good info! I should have put the pieces together as Atlus hasn't made too many fighting games. The preview was written in 1996 prior to any of the Playstation ports being released so it's possible they wanted to change the name for American audiences because of the shared name with a cult.
"On December 13, 1996, it was ported to the Sony PlayStation in Japan by Atlus. In October 1997, JVC Digital Studios published it in Europe as Yusha: Heaven's Gate."
