Did it support linkable games though, or was it just for supporting the GB Printer?

I confess to going to a Pokemon contest once years ago. Nintendo had some sort of deal set up where beating up all the little 8 year olds would get you a match against Team Nintendo, broadcast on a big TV through an N64 through some sort of linkable GBC adapter. I remember it had some sort of Asian-language label (the only language I can kind of recognize is Japanese, but not then. Though somehow, I don't think this adapter was Japanese, either. I can't immediately recall any Nintendo-produced systems/accessories with non-English names)

Yes, according to the pictures in the manual :P I don't have the right cable to test it with.

You should leave him bad feedback, seeing as it doesn't fucking play Advance games. You know, eBay vigilante style.

And everybody lived happily ever after...

Except for those who don't have a SG2. That thing looks pretty badass. Oh well, the GB player does the job just fine.

I love my GB Player, but SGB content won't run on anything but a Super Game Boy.

And may the fleas of a thousand camel infest Nintendo's crotch for it. Hell, color support can't be too hard? I can sorta understand borders and sound samples (since they are pretty much tied to the SNES through the SGB), but AT LEAST they could make the SGB colors work correctly, instead of that 4-color BULLSHIT (well, ok, the sprites can be different colors too, but the game has no control).

Also, the bonus game from that article looks weird. Although now that I see the scans I remember the article from way back =P

don't buy SGB2, it's fairly easy to add a link port to a super gameboy.... it's got the same chips as a regular gameboy inside it. I tore up an F1 Race 4 player adapter and did a fairly professional job of putting the port on the side of the SGB. My hardrive crashed, so I can't show the pictures of the results (to prove it worked, I had it in the arena on Pokemon, something you can't do without being linked up)... but I got the info on jeff frohwein's site: http://www.devrs.com/gb/hardware.php#hardlink

The info from the original Japanese page was better, but it's down. If anybody needs it, I probably still have a printout of the info.

Though, if you really want to... you can buy mine. I don't ever use it anymore. The only use I got out of it was to use a capture card to "transfer" my GB camera photos to PC, and to play Bomberman GB (Bomberman GB 2 in Japan) with the multitap.

iirc, Street Fighter 2 (GB) had two player when played on the SGB...

And Bomberman (or was it WarioBlast?) had 4 player on the sgb if you used a multi-tap.

I think SF2 (GB) is the most hilarious to play two player on on the snes :-P
