Jonny Geddes has been getting information on several unreleased games. Here is the first batch:

Daze Before Christmas

Dominus

Socks The Cat

I'm hoping to get some more info on a few more games that I have info on. Keep tuned in.

Socks the Cat would probably be in my personal top 5 list of games I hope are released someday. I seem to remember reading a Nintendo Power preview that also mentioned Jimmy Carter as a boss character. I'm also positive I saw a full page ad for the game before but I haven't come across it looking through old magazines yet.

Hmm... now it suddenly struck me that I might have something interesting at home...

Evan, nag at me not the upcomming weekend, but the weekend after...
I think I've got something for you that'll be VERY nice for your site!

Also, regarding Dominus, if memory serves me right, I think I've got the PC version at home. (original, cd+cover -box)
Want me to toss something from that one at you too?

I know I have that ad. I don't have access to a scanner, but I can let you know what magazine I found it in if I find it first :P

Something tells me that Socks the Cat game would've been a graphic hack job of the Chester Cheetah games. Isn't the paw in the logo the same as in the Chester Cheetah logo?

Heh, I guess that will never happen. Although there won't be many updates until next April. I'll likely only update unreleased games stuff.

It'd been a shame if you stopped updating your site Evan...

Now, if time could just go a little faster so I could be home next weekend by now and scan a few things for you...

I got a hold of the producer of several games for Micropose, including unreleased games Impossible Mission 2025 (100% complete), Tinhead (100% complete), and Boo! (80% complete). He gave me a pretty good reason why they weren't released (they ran out of money). Anything else I should ask?

All of the stuff that he had, save some footage videos are on his personal website.

Regarding the Socks the Cat thing; one of EGM's yearly guides (1998, I think) had a small blurb for Socks the Cat in the back, which suggests that they've reviewed it in the past. If anyone wants to search their EGM archives and scan it, I'd appreciate it.

By the way, any game that gives you the chance to fight Nixon is great in my book.

I personally don't remember EGM reviewing it, but I know GamePro did (and it scored fairly low, for the record). I have the issue somewhere but I haven't the slightest idea which one it's in and I'd say I'll dig around and find it and scan it, but everytime I do, I end up not getting around to it.

So, if I get around to it...

this is from Total, a UK magazine:

(apologies for the poor quality, it was a really crappy scanner, but it's all legible so it doesn't seem worth re-scanning)
