Let's use this thread to make fun of Ark in a totally un-PC and horribly offensive way.
Q: WWJD?
A: He would post somewhere else! |

Aw, I thought he was a douchey religious nut worth mocking but at least he had his spelling and grammar down. There's an unfortunate lack of that amongst poor, tired and hungry masses that show up nowadays. |

I think the whole ban is pretty extreme in it's justification, but focusing on what was supposed to be the actual topic of the thread: That Mario RPG song is rather creepy. |

Is there a proper tag for the megalomaniacal, apathetic, people who release their Fascist aggressions while hiding behind the curtain of the Liberal media by making concise, obscure, cultural reference-spiced, immature flames on forums to people still filled with the spirit of youth and innocence who happen to be a bit too cheerful, interested in the related topic, or inexperienced to fully relate to the crusty people who thrive on the fumes of their own exhaust?
If there isn't one, they should be called "Forum Trolls". |

Have been for a while. Not a whole lot of progress has been made for months to a year. I'm not even sure whether what's left is just desire or feelings of inadequateness.
I'd like to get it done eventually. Why?
Before I entirely blow off the "Fuck you". I'll say:
Your Mom. |

I've been playing with something along those lines myself on and off for a while, was wondering how far along you were. |

Way, way less. I'm still playing with shit like design and structure. Can't figure out the best way to get anything done, and then when I found out someone else was working on the same kinda thing, I said fuckit.
Can I see it? |

Well, it uses a specific databasing structure. I don't have a way to easily display the info at the moment since it's on an older PC of mine downstairs. At the moment I'm watching old school cartoons courtesy of the fine members at MySpleen and am a bit too lazy to go down there are dig up the program, scan an empty directory and give you the listing.
E-mail me or something so I can remember and get back to you.
(However, it wouldn't display the MD5s. OH! And there are FDS entries as well, so it's not all NES/Famicom. We also structure the FDS images according to their file system, but haven't found a universal way of deleting the save data.) |

The whole FDS disk is rewritable, huh?
It's likely to be a small file, and it's possible you could figure out the name just from a program that lists FDS files. Like Chris Covell's FDSList or my FDS ripper/merger. Though yeah, since you'd have to manually determine what the save file is and delete it (zero it out), it probably wouldn't be too helpful for determining FDS names?
Maybe make a sub database that finds the files containing save data in known games, and compare all data in the rest of the files?
(I suppose you could use an emulator that writes save data back to the original disk. Make a copy of the disk image, save ingame, then do file compare to find the area where the data was changed, then use a lister and some hex math (both programs above I believe list the file sizes when ripping FDS data files), in the event the save data file didn't use an obvious name. |
