I've actually been caught up in a mass project as of lately, wherein I have been collecting, scanning, and archiving Nintendo Power Magazines, from vol 1 all the way to 200!
In any case, I have come across quite a few interesting bits concerning prototypes and betas, such as Lobo, Apocalypse II, and even Steven Seagal Is The Final Option...After the set is done, I will most likely go back and do a power index relative to which games appear in which issues...But, if any of you are interested in reading articles, reviews, etc on these games, which were NEVER released...I'd be glad to pass scans of them along to you...I've run into quite a few already, and am bound to run into many more. It is even interesting to note, many games featured, may not get a USA (I am American) release, but end up getting European releases such as Euforia. vice versa...well, just thought I would post this for any that might be interested...feel free to either post within this topic, or simply message me if you have any other questions...I am hoping to come across the features for Jeff Gordon, Dinosaur Planet, and 40 Winks for n64 soon! |

Let me know if you do the game-specific index, since I'm doing something similar (though not with Nintendo Power). |

You know Nintendo Power released at least one index of what games were in what issues, right? I have one for issues 1-50, and I think they also sold one for issues 1-100.
Anyway, archiving NP magazines sounds like a really great idea. Good luck with it! |

I have them both, neither mention cancelled games, "coming soon" blurbs, or vaginas.
Vaginas would have sold more issues. They should have listened to me. |

I learned "foof" translates to "vagina" or "cunt" in Belgium last week. |

RedEye, if you do have both power indexes, maybe you could scan them to supplement the set I am archiving...then, it would just be a matter of doing an index for volumes 101-200!
Obviously, I will make it a point to cover any games not listed in the indexes...and, maybe even go so far as to list which celebrities are in which issues...you know, so you don't end up accidentally reading the New Kids On The Block crap...let us hope the beta or prototype for the NKOTB game never shows up!
In any case, if you can help RedEye, or anyone else for that matter...who has the power indexes, message me...
PS, I am actually also looking for Nintendo Fun Clubs vol 2 and 3, I have the other ones...That pretty much covers anything I would need to complete the set, persay...
Thanks KingMike for the 40 Winks info...
What leads me to believe there has to be a Jeff Gordon prototype out there somewhere, is that my Toys R' Us at the time...did preorders for the game...I can't think of any other games I have ever seen preorders for that weren't released, in the end! |

Most recently the Original KOF remake was cancelled. And the preorders that were taken also. |

KoF '94 re-bout?
It was released in Japan, on both PS2 and Xbox I believe.
(Atleast Japanese PS2 release is out)
Only English got canned, but unless I'm the one mixing titles here now, why's KoF mentioined in a Nintendo power thread ? |

Both the Japanese and English Xbox versions of '94 Re-Bout were cancelled, Carnivol. It only came out on PS2. They had "development difficulties" with the Xbox version, though my guess is that they were running low on resources and decided to reassign some of the team to the Xbox version of Neowave to get it out the door vaguely on time. |
